This book is a journey into a difficult past for which there are conflicting memories corresponding to conflicting identities. It is an attempt to narrate in a simple way both the basic events (about which there is no dispute from any side that they happened) and their different interpretations. At the same time, it is an invitation to reflection, introspection, and critical analysis of the certainties and images we have both of ourselves and of others.
