The Discovery Sky Trip ST50 is an entry-level refractor telescope, ideal for introducing beginners to space and celestial objects. With this telescope, you can observe the Moon and planets, as well as terrestrial targets. As for deep sky objects, this telescope will give you the opportunity to admire the brightest ones. It is easy to use, with the optical tube making two simple movements: up-down and right-left.

The main advantage of this specific telescope is its short optical tube, which is almost half the length compared to similar models. This allows you to take the telescope with you on trips and travels. The package includes a convenient backpack for easy transportation of the telescope and its various accessories in such cases. Finally, thanks to the smartphone adapter, you will have the opportunity to try taking your first astrophotographs!

Altazimuth Mount

An altazimuth mount is the simplest type of telescope mount. Its name is a combination of the words "altitude" and "azimuth", meaning "height" and "azimuth". This type of mount allows for movements up and down (in altitude) and left and right (in azimuth).

This review is about the lens diameter: -

In the instructions, it does not say that you need to adjust the diopter during the day in order for it to work at night, and most importantly, the tripod is small and not convenient at all. Get a telescope with a regular-sized tripod.
