The first part of the book approaches the phenomenon within the framework of a tiered investigation of the factors of radicalization. Starting from the individual, which is the most common lens through which the phenomenon is studied, it concludes with the factors that develop at the level of the international environment and are usually entirely omitted in related studies.

The second part offers an overview of radicalization, which, with the axis of the waves of terrorism, reaches up to Islamist and far-right terrorism today. It outlines the significance of individual factors in different forms and periods of political violence, highlighting the differences but mainly the unexpected similarities that radicalization presents in diametrically opposed and sometimes hostile groups and movements.
