Thessaloniki, 1917

The Great Fire ravages the multicultural metropolis where Christians, Jews, and Muslims coexist under a unique regime. Amid the destruction, a boy named Dimitris Komninos is born. His fate will be intertwined with that of the city and the young Katerina, who will arrive in Thessaloniki five years later, uprooted from Asia Minor after the persecutions by the Turkish army.
