The bread bakes very well. Unfortunately, every 1-1.5 years it leaks from the flange, so you have to change the bin (about 40€) because the flange is pressed and forces you to change the bin even if it is in perfect condition. Another downside is the kneader that remains inside the bread. Overall, I would not buy it again. (I changed the bin under warranty after almost daily use for 1.5 years and after using it 5 times I stored it for 1+ year. When I used it again with a new bin, if possible, the flange melted and I bought a new bin.)

  • This particular series is problematic. As mentioned in other reviews, some machines make raw bread resulting in having to send them -brand new- for service, etc.
If you are lucky, you may see the results of those who have given it 5 stars, otherwise stay away

I have had the mixer for 5 years now and I have made almost everything, including bread with different types of flour. Apart from making very good bread, I have made perfect tsoureki, croissants, and cakes. So far, it has not presented any problems for me. If you visit Kenwood's website and generally search on Google, you will find recipes for this specific model, with instructions and useful tips.

The first time it didn't work at all. They replaced it with a great delay. When the new one arrived, I threw away the first two loaves because they were raw, the third one was so-so, and it never worked again. It made three loaves and I returned it as well.

Do not throw away the bin when it is leaking. Find a Viton axle seal 8*19*8 mm and replace it at minimal cost.

I have it for almost 5 years, it took me some time to find the right recipe (I use yeast, 500g water, 850g flour, 15g yeast, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons sugar). For better baking, I prepare the dough (it has a program) and bake it in the oven.
The biggest bread I made is about 1.250kg (normally it gives 600g for all its recipes, now the distributor has changed it and gives 1kg bread for the same model)
Its problems are that every two years it needs a new bucket (the seal starts to deteriorate and it has leaks) which costs about 40€, it is very difficult to open (I have opened it twice, once to change the light bulb and once for the belt).

It's worth every penny. It's very easy to use. I've had it for a week and I've already baked 20 kilo loaves of bread using program 1. Bread with raisins, with tomatoes, with olives, with cheese, plain bread, bread with coarse and fine semolina, bread with dried fruits. Find a recipe you like from the many available on the internet, experiment with flavors, and give it a try. Don't use its own measuring spoon and liquid measuring cup. A tablespoon, a teaspoon, and a cheap gram scale is all you need.

For me, the purchase was not worth it, because I did not use its admittedly many capabilities. Apart from being huge and expensive, it does not make bread as we would like it. I have tried several recipes. Sometimes the wrong button is activated, and it is difficult to cancel the program after passing the hand close to it. The attachment stays inside the bread, and then it takes some attention to remove it when you reach the middle of the loaf. I would recommend it mainly to someone who has enough space, is into the philosophy of bread making, and has the desire to explore its countless possibilities. I do not fall into this category, so I sold it.

I have had it for five years, I have made everything from doughs to breads. I have made dough for tsoureki, for pizza, for pie. It kneads very strongly and well. I also have a food processor but it is not as good for kneading (it shakes the whole thing and I'm afraid it might break). The only negative thing is its size. However, it has a unique feature. It also has hot air and the bread comes out very crispy and delicious.

I had given it as a gift in May. On the second or third use, it broke! We still have it at the local dealer (3.5 months) since the replacement part hasn't arrived yet. If I could, I would give it 0 stars...

I bought it a year and a half ago and I make bread every two days!
Positively, it makes very good bread and a very good crust. Good bread should make a hollow sound when tapped on the bottom, something you find in a bakery bread, and this bread maker achieves it! It has many programs, but I only use one for bread. No matter what flour I use, the result is perfect. Cleaning it takes about a minute, maybe I even overdid it! Others have already talked about its economy and quality. On the negative side, it is a bit small, but I believe that if you want to have a bread maker oven, you should have the appropriate space. I haven't had any experience with a different bread maker. Nevertheless, I recommend it.

At first, I experimented with different flours. Eventually, I bought bulk yellow flour from a mill and I was thrilled with the result. Also, during the rising process, I remove the hook and it's okay. It's worth the effort. I know what bread we're eating.

In 5 years, 4 bins and one board. 2 loaves of bread per week and pizzas, tsoureki, croissants, cakes, etc. (I'm not fat, you know). It paid off, but I expected more reliability.

I bought it in November 2014 and everything was fine until then. In February 2017, it started not to inflate my bread at all, resulting in me throwing away 3 attempts. The technician who checked it at the service insisted that it inflated the bread normally for him. I brought it home, and again, the bread was flat. I took it back, and it inflated - he said - and that after 2 years of having it, I was not doing something right NOW! Finally, I asked them to change the "program" as he told me it "might" be the problem, and I paid an additional 77 €. Now, it has been working fine for a month. So, until now, I have paid 235 € for it!! People I know who have much cheaper brands, I don't even know them, they don't have any problems after 3 years!

I have no experience with other bread makers. Everything is good, but one component that rotates the bowl broke after about 250-300 loaves (approximately). Cost 25 euros, everything else was mentioned below.

I have had it for 3 years and we make 1 loaf every 3 days. So we have made over 300 loaves and it works perfectly. Only at some point the bin needed to be replaced, but that had a very small cost. I highly recommend it!

I have had it for several years and the only thing I have changed, due to use, is the knife that rotates in the bowl!!! I was expecting a replacement from Italy, of course, but the wait is worth it...
Dough for pizzas, cheese bread, bread with whatever you want and whatever flour... from white to corn!!!
I haven't experimented with cakes and savory recipes, but it has paid for itself and more over the years...

I bought it in December 2015 and after 2 weeks of use, it broke. I took it to the Kenwood dealership in the first week of January and after another 1.5 months, they still haven't repaired it because they are waiting for the spare part, even though in my opinion it should be replaced with a new device.

It has a significant design flaw. While it was working, it made very good bread. However, after two years of non-daily use, the belt that provides motion from the motor broke. I tried to open it to fix it, but it was impossible to disassemble it to reach the bottom where the belt is and replace it. I had to throw it away and buy a Panasonic one, which so far works very well. If you want to buy a bread maker, you should definitely make sure that the bottom part where the belt is located can be easily opened and replaced.

So far, I have had it for about a month, everything is perfect. I don't know about the future if it will have any problems. Next time, I won't buy bread from outside, it's just foam and air. If it breaks, I will get another one. Real bread. Well done

Although I have no experience with other bread makers, I can say that this one is exceptional. It is very easy to use, and I have already made cakes (incredibly moist and delicious) of almost all types of bread, whole wheat, white, quick bake, French, etc. They are incredibly tasty, with a nice crispy crust, fluffy and light. It just requires attention, good quality bread flour of course, but also the right proportion of ingredients (solid, liquid) to ensure successful results. Also, the pizza dough is one of the best I have ever made! I am extremely satisfied and use it every day, sometimes even twice a day because it makes perfect fresh bread!

Stubborn but problematic. The rubber seal breaks and the axle of the drum gets worn out, resulting in water leakage which causes rusting and jams the system that rotates the drum. We have had it for 2 years and it keeps breaking. It always needs fixing... it has even been soldered inside. You need to have a workshop. Other cheaper ones don't break like this. But stubborn.

It confirms the correctness of my decision to invest in something more but from a reliable company. I have had it for over a year and all I can say is: Well, yes, it's an awesome machine! It has not presented any problems at all, even though I use it regularly (I rarely buy bread from outside anymore).
Although I haven't tried making jams and other sweets yet, the various types of bread it produces are excellent. Once you "get the hang of it," using it is a breeze and you have your own bread just the way you want it, with your own pure ingredients and not whatever they "pass off" at every bakery.
I highly recommend it without reservation!
