    5. The surface underneath is SOMEWHAT non-slip on the floor.

    In the cons...
    1. The weaving is done with "shiny nylon". This means it slips a little when stepped on (NOT anything crazy, just the foot doesn't "stick").
    2. The surface underneath is SOMEWHAT non-slip, and NOT COMPLETELY! So if the child runs, the mat will start to move around.
    3. Since it is thin, it is understood that it does not have "shock-absorbing" properties and it is understood that it is not a rug that will "warm up" in the winter.

    However, for what we wanted it for (to have a surface for the child to sit and play on during the summer without hearing the games banging on the tiles), it is perfect!!
