In all languages of the world, the verb constitutes the central core of sentences and speech in general. There is no sentence without an explicitly expressed or easily implied verb.

The purpose of this dictionary is to present the most important verbs of the ancient Greek language, especially the Attic dialect.

In this study, the following information is provided for each verb of the ancient Greek language:
- Initial tenses in both voices

- Syntax and meaning with examples from almost all texts of the Attic and Ionic dialects
- Root of the modern Greek language
- The main compound verbs with their interpretation
- Synonyms
- Antonyms (where applicable)
- Indication of their declension according to the corresponding verb patterns that are declined in the verb declension tables at the end of the book
- Special phrases with their meaning
