The unprecedented crisis that the country is going through, following its almost economic bankruptcy and the forced recourse to international borrowing and corresponding international supervision, is the result of long-term processes. The autistic political system, the gradual decay and extreme politicization of institutions, widespread corruption, lawlessness and impunity, distortion of incentives and national introversion have been underground processes for several years that have led the country to the edge of the abyss. However, the signs of the crisis were quite clear long before. You will see some of them analyzed in the articles collected in this volume.
