Description

At least since the death of Andreas G. Papandreou in 1996, all Greek governments have led a dramatic historical movement of decline and submersion of society and the national economy of the country: virtual economic development based on pathological financial and consumer patterns and services, mismanagement and enormous public and private debt, memoranda of subjugation and servitude, a huge demographic crisis and emigration of at least 500,000 young people. At the same time, there is a continuous and structured internal unity of the country's political elites against all historical-strategic demands of Turkey regarding the Republic of Cyprus, the Aegean, and Thrace. This study explains historically why this happens, shows with evidence the spectacular rise of the Turkish economy compared to that of Greece, and defines Turkey as a regional imperialist power (sub-imperialism), as it exports both large capital and power. At the same time, through a fictional dialogue developed between Ahmet Davutoğlu and Panagiotis Kondylis, it answers the crucial questions about what Greece should do in order to launch a different developmental socio-economic model, as well as a reliable deterrent against Turkish aggression in the Aegean, Thrace, and Cyprus.
