This one saved us with the renovation of the house! Besides ash, we used it for all the dust, crumbs, etc... it sucks everything!! The only drawback is that it has a short cord and it doesn't have a long handle for vacuuming. (of course it is for ash so theoretically it doesn't need those 2).

It doesn't have excessive power, I would say it has almost as much as a medium household vacuum but it doesn't need more when its use is exclusively for ash. I use it on a wood grill and I am completely satisfied. It can be easily transported and stored, it has enough cable length (plug) and its power is just right. So far I haven't found any negatives. Considering all this and its low cost, it makes it perfect.

However, I clean it every 2-3 days to prevent it from clogging (I shake the fabric filter and empty the bin for 3-5 minutes). The advantage is the 2 filters it has, which keep the motor clean and are easy to clean.
