The Hoya ND8 filter, in addition to protecting the front glass of your lens from minor scratches and wear, primarily functions to darken the image in a controlled manner, allowing for increased shutter speed duration or a larger aperture. This way, we can more easily achieve control over depth of field and motion capture.

With the Hoya ND8, we gain 3 stops in exposure of our image, without affecting the colors.
