This book is an effort to gather basic material for teaching the subject of Social and Professional Education (S.P.E.) in Special Education schools, given the absence of school textbooks. It follows the Detailed Curriculum (D.C.) of S.P.E. of the S.E.E.E.C., but its material can also be used in other S.M.E.A.E. as basic or supplementary material.

The book is written in such a way that it can meet the needs of all students with disabilities. The accompaniment of the texts with the corresponding images helps in better understanding by them, while the deliberate choice of matching exercises or True-False was made with the aim of overcoming the possible difficulty of written speech production by the student. The main goal is to encourage the student to produce oral speech and understand the concepts under negotiation.

Given that the subject of Social and Professional Education is an interdisciplinary subject, this particular book can be used by colleagues of various specialties, concerning their subject. It would be advisable to use this manual as closely as possible to the needs and abilities of each student through the enrichment or further simplification of some exercises.
