It is wireless and can be used everywhere. It has USB-C for charging and USB-C to USB for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4-5. It also has a 3.5mm jack for all mobile devices and the Play controller. It even has a wireless receiver with USB-C that can be used with Android and any console like the Switch, and even PC. Basically, it is suitable for the whole family, they keep taking it from me all the time, we will get more.
I bought them in April for 86 euros, I have used them relatively little because I have other pairs and because the microphone worked better on the PS5 than on the PC (reason unknown). I would say I am relatively satisfied so far at least with the nice sound, the feeling on the head, and because they are light and do not tire you. But not within 7 months and with the simplest use ever to break the plastics like that... Note that I have never mistreated them, they have never fallen down, the space has no humidity, heat, or anything that could cause damage. If someone sees them, they will think I took them out of the box a week ago. It is unacceptable for a name like Razer to use such cheap materials. I have already requested a refund and now the company is receiving a yellow card if not directly a red one.
I got them on sale for 50 euros.
In a year and a half, the cable broke, the sound is distorted or only heard from one side of the two.
Theoretically, with a cable replacement they should be fine.
Decent headphones and sound for the money I paid, with the advantage of being wireless.
I never used the microphone.
Also, they felt incredibly comfortable on the head
Overall, it is a mediocre product. The sound often gets stuck and you need to unplug and plug in the USB dongle again. For example, while watching a movie or listening to music, the sound suddenly becomes robotic for 5-6 seconds and you hear loud noise. Other times, you hear loud clicks every second. This probably means that something is wrong with the signal transmission, which is not justified at a distance of one meter from the dongle.
Unfortunately, it does not have its own software, nor does it recognize the Razer Central software.
It only comes with software for surround sound, which you need to activate by entering the product's S/N. I never used it because I use the free Steelseries Sonar, which has surround sound and everything else you need.
The microphone's audio quality is average. It's not too bad.
The battery easily lasts for 12 hours of intense sound (I am generally deaf, so I usually have it on full volume).
3 stars because it is quite cheap for a wireless headset and as a construction, it is quite durable, comfortable, and lightweight. It nicely fits the ears and you don't feel any pain after prolonged use (9+ hours).
If it didn't have the sound issues and could be managed through its own software or at least through Razer Central, it would be amazing.
I have had them for less than 2 years, since August of 22, and nothing has annoyed me so much. I also have a microphone from the same company and while everything was fine at first, over time they all started having issues. At first, the headset microphone wouldn't pick up sound, if I shouted into it, others would hear a whisper. Then it started giving me problems with the separate microphone, like when one device was connected, it wouldn't recognize the other device (the microphone), and then one day it just fixed itself, but the headset microphone is now terrible (I can't be heard well at all). In the end, they fell on a pile of clothes shortly after, and despite that, they broke a little, which means I can no longer replace them. Take them at your own risk.
Edit: I should also mention that for a long time now, the low battery notification has been broken and it can beep all day, regardless of how many hours I charge them. (They don't turn off for many hours even if I have them wireless, but I constantly hear beep beep.)
In the first 6 months, they had external damages. After a year and a half, the dongle burned out and now I only have them with a cable as headphones without a microphone because the microphone with the cable creates interference. Failed purchase at 85€
Very nice headphones with very clear sound both in games and generally the microphone, I don't know, I use an external mic, just the only small issue I have is that it doesn't have software to see the battery percentage, but I knew that beforehand, so it's not a big deal.
After 1 year and 3 months, the volume wheel started to break and when you move it, one of the two headphones loses sound. You have to find a specific point to turn it so that both headphones have the correct and same sound. Tragic.
These headphones are not worth their money. I bought them about a year ago, and I have encountered several problems. Mainly with connectivity. Whether it's the wireless connection or Bluetooth, the connection with the computer, mobile, and tablet gets cut off. The headphones shut down on their own while they are at 50+% charge. For this specific series (Barracuda X), you will find many complaints on Razer's website.
A decent headset for its price. Lightweight and compact-sized, it's really comfortable. Especially the wireless features are a big benefit of the headset. Highly suggested.
They have the classic Razer sound, similar to the Blackshark. The battery life is excellent, lasting several days (depending on usage, of course). It's very convenient that they charge with type C, as I have a cable at my desk that comes from my phone charger, so I can charge both my headphones and my phone that way.
Sometimes they do something weird, but it's not a big deal, and I find it understandable since they're wireless.
The microphone is bad. Low volume and quality, but enough for Discord and at least my voice sounds normal without any weirdness. The good thing is that if you ever need better quality for some reason, if you connect them with the 3.5mm jack cable (which is included in the box), the microphone quality improves.
Very comfortable in the ears, similar to the Blackshark, but of course, this is subjective and depends on each person. I know someone who didn't like them at all (the Blackshark, which have the same shape). From what I understand, they fit better for those with smaller ears. They're also lightweight and don't cause any discomfort.
If you want something wireless, they're definitely a great choice. If you're interested in sound quality, DO NOT get gaming headphones, get regular wired headphones (like Audio-Technica). Personally, I preferred them over regular Bluetooth headphones because I trust the 2.4GHz dongle more.
They really connect quickly...the packaging contains everything you need...definitely activate the 7.1 (read the manual on how and what)...for music it's very good...if you look carefully, the microphone should click into a small hole in the socket...if it doesn't work immediately, press mute 4-5 times...that's how it worked for me...however, the voice transmission is a minus...even though I have a great voice, I sound like I'm whispering...maybe it's designed that way so someone doesn't scream during a game and hurt your ears...Overall, good quality, good sound, good distance with wireless, maybe up to 10 meters without obstacles...I don't know the distance outside, maybe up to 20 meters without obstacles...at 60 euros it's okay, maybe 65 euros, but I wouldn't recommend paying more...7.5-8/10 from me, and if you're very demanding, then spend 200.00...
Only the sound is okay, generally I've never had a worse experience with headphones, they disconnect on their own, the microphone makes sounds to others on its own, and all of this in 2 months of casual use. The worst audio product I've ever used, stay away.
I rate it based on its price, which I believe should be around 50-60 €. It is very comfortable and lightweight. It has plenty of connection options. The quality for this category is average in terms of plastics. The ear cushions are fine. The microphone is very good without distortion for the user who is listening. The sound, which is the important part, is generally satisfactory for both music and gaming. You need to make some adjustments to make it fit your preferences because we all have different tastes, and what one person likes, another may not. For me, it didn't have strong bass as I would like. When you install a program and adjust it, it sounds much better. I also used them with the 7.1 that I downloaded from Razer after registering the product and receiving the activation code. I can say that it makes a difference in games, but it depends on the game you play, as music and effects play a role in giving you a better feeling when you activate it. They are not tiring, and their battery lasts long enough. It is a good first solution up to this price point, while you can find other alternatives at similar levels. Now, if you want something better that you can keep and enjoy more, you will pay twice the price and have plenty of options to get something at a higher level.
Suddenly, the adapter that makes it wireless broke even though I took care of it like my own eyes for 5 months of minimal use...go figure, it's not worth it
I have had them for a month now and they sound very good. The sound quality is excellent and as for the bass, it's subjective but to me it sounds great. The microphone is pretty good and people can hear me clearly. I have no issues with it at the moment (I don't take it out of the door). The range is satisfactory, I can go almost all over the house and I don't lose signal except when there is a thick wall. The battery lasts me 3 days with one charge (10+ hours of gaming per day so it's almost always on)
They do not have Bluetooth. Connection is only possible with the adapter that comes with them. The sound quality is very good and comfortable. I clarify this about Bluetooth because personally I did not understand it from the descriptions.
Overall, everything is good! I wear them all day, around 10-12 hours a day, and I don't feel tired or have my ears burning. The material on the ear cushions is of good quality and doesn't make my ears sweat or stick.
As for the cons, I have 2 points:
1. The microphone is a bit strange, it is detachable but not very comfortable where it stands. Also, the sound quality of the microphone is not what I expected.
2. The cushion on the part that touches the head comes off from the plastic when I open the headphones to fit them on my head, catching hair and pulling it.
P.S. They are wireless, but they have their own dedicated USB C dongle that makes them much more useful for PC. They work with mobile phones, but they are not recommended for this use.
Very nice headphones, quality construction and decent sound. The only thing I didn't like very much is its microphone. For the short time I've had them, they are definitely worth their money and more! There is also a related unboxing video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPKz3mmByOk
The headphones are very good in everything, both in bass and range. I got up from the computer and went from the back to the balcony. The house is 65 square meters and they didn't lose their sound at all! Only one thing bothers me a little, we don't have the Razer Synapse
Well, the headphones have very good sound for 100 euros, the microphone is perhaps the best for Razer, and on Discord it's crystal clear. The build quality is plastic, but not the cheap Chinese plastic, it's sturdy and has a metal arm inside. They're the most worth 55 euros I've ever spent (they normally cost 100, but I got them on Black Friday), but even if they cost 100, I'd still buy them.
23/01
All of the above still applies. Maybe it was a bit of an exaggeration to say I'd buy them if they cost 100, but they've still proven to be great. The only problem I have, as with most Xiaomi products it seems they've adopted (hopefully temporarily) and Razer is this stupid Matt plastic that even scratches if it comes into contact with air. Also, the Bluetooth dongle is shaped in a way that covers the surrounding ports, so you have to constantly use the USB adapter that comes with it. This means they knew they made a design mistake and instead of fixing it, they added something inside so there wouldn't be any complaints. But I still believe it should have been the classic USB style but with a Type-C style, and then there wouldn't be any problems
Connection issues started after approximately 3 months of use. After 8 months of use, the volume wheel of the headset malfunctioned. The store replaced my headset and I am generally satisfied. I bought it for 85 euros. It's not worth 85 euros, but it's worth the current price. An excellent choice for a mid-range budget. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
About a year has passed and the plastic that you use to raise and lower it broke, so I fixed it with super glue and otherwise the battery lasts a long time with light use and about 6 hours with heavy use. I am satisfied with everything else.
As headphones, they are quite good. They have nice sound/bass and are quite convenient to use. However, the big negative they have is that they are "wireless". To connect them to any wireless device, a Bluetooth adapter type C (provided in the package) is needed, but the signal and range it has is so weak that if I use my phone and have it in my pocket, I hear the headphones disconnecting. Also, the adapter is so big that on a laptop it can block the ports on the right and left.
If you're looking for wireless gaming headphones, I believe these are the best available. At a reasonable price (€80 which I purchased them for), they offer sound of very good quality and the microphone is excellent. They are easy to connect to either your phone or computer and last for a decent amount of time. The only negative is that you can't see exactly how much battery you have left, only when it reaches 30% or 10% the light changes color and a strange sound is heard.
These headphones are perfect for every gamer. Everything is great except for the bass (I'm not saying they don't have good bass, but if you're someone who listens to a lot of music, I wouldn't recommend them). It takes at least 2 hours to charge and you can charge them from the USB port of your PS4 or PS5, and the battery lasts for over a week. It connects with USB-C but the cable is long enough to cover both USB ports on the PS5. The box includes: charger, USB-C to USB-A adapter, and a cable for wired use
So, I had quite a few expensive wireless and wired headphones from various companies, but these ones are something else - incredible construction, comfortable, cool and lightweight, with an unbelievable sound for wireless, awesome bass that's both powerful and distortion-free, and satisfactory volume. What can I say, Razer, well done, I didn't expect them to be this good, you've taken it to another level! 9/10 from me!
I highly recommend the headphones, they are great for wireless and at such a price, the only downside in my opinion is the microphone. After about a year of use, the microphone stopped working completely, and I have to spend an hour adjusting it until it sits in the right spot for people to hear me. Otherwise, it's dead. So, along with the headphones, get a separate microphone and you're all set
Very good headphones for their price. Comfortable on the head and ears, very good sound isolation. WARNING: Not compatible with razer synapse and for sound processing you need to purchase razer THX SPATIAL AUDIO.
UPDATE: 1.5 years after purchasing them with moderate use, the volume control wheel has started to malfunction and the sound in the headphones is not at the same volume. I have to adjust it and find the point where the volume is the same in both headphones.
I bought the headphones 3 days ago and I am disappointed with the microphone. Everything else is fine, but the microphone is almost non-existent. I have to have it almost inside my mouth to be heard. Otherwise, they have nice and good sound and connect everywhere
The mic is really good and so are the headphones, the quality and sound are great! Now, for the 80 euros I paid, I think they are a bit overpriced but they are wireless so it's okay. Oh, one last thing, the range is crazy, I can go two rooms away and they still work!
