After 5 months of use, let me express my opinion as well. The processor is very good and fast. I use it for gaming and various tasks I do with my PC. So far, and I don't believe in the future either, it hasn't frozen anywhere. I have paired it with a Gigabyte Aorus Elite DDR4 motherboard and Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 MHz 32GB RAM, with a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Eagle O.C. graphics card, a Samsung 980 Pro SSD 500GB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0, a CoolerMaster MWE v2 850W Full Modular 80 Plus Gold power supply, and I am very satisfied with the system's performance. It runs very well and loads various games quickly, like COD MWII, without encountering any problems. Of course, from the beginning of the build, I have installed the Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 FX cooler, which keeps it at good temperatures (it hasn't exceeded 55°C), in combination with the good airflow of the Cougar MX440-G RGB Gaming Midi Tower case and the fans I have added to it. I believe it fully meets my gaming needs, there's no need to go for i7 or i9 solutions. It would be unnecessary luxury and essentially we wouldn't see such big differences, or some people wouldn't even notice the differences. I highly recommend it, as it can easily and quickly handle everything a average user or gamer would need. It is powerful, fast, and cool. Please note that it was not used or tested with the mediocre Intel cooler that comes with it.
Very fast with 6c/12t Performance x86 Cores (Golden Cove) with integrated graphics, the downside is the stock cooler, it definitely needs an After Market cooler for running demanding programs without throttling, easily reaches 100 degrees, with PL2 locked at 95W and a slight undervolt the temperatures drop. Its actual speeds are 4.8ghz Turbo on max 2 cores, 4.6 on 4 cores, and 4.4 on all cores, the TDP varies depending on how the Turbo works, nothing is fixed, it reaches almost 120W TDP when running at 4.8ghz. Very powerful x86 core (Golden Cove) designed 100% by Intel's team in Israel, in combination with a modern NVME like the Samsung 980, the performance is noticeable in everything, the BIOS is a bit immature due to being a very fresh platform, but without any problems, they will improve over time, expensive motherboards and coolers for 1700 are non-existent except for accompanying adapters, the investment in the new socket is still an issue primarily in terms of money. Personally, I don't believe in the Big.LITTLE copy that Intel did in the 12th generation with Performance and Efficient cores, that's why I only recommend the locked ones with strong integrated graphics and only the Golden Cove x86 cores, if someone wants more, they should look into AMD, which is both fast and much more efficient. For the majority of mainstream users, the 12600, 12500, 12400, as well as the smaller i3 in the 12th generation Intel, and the 5600G/5600X in AMD's Zen3, cover their needs. My recommended budget/midrange build: i5 12600, Gigabyte B660M DSH3, Arctic Freezer 34 Esports Duo, Deepcool Matrexx 30, Samsung 980 1TB NVME, Be Quiet System Power 9 600W.
