The impressive response to the book "Halfway Down the Road" showed that, on the one hand, middle age has not received the attention it deserves and, on the other hand, many people have a great need for information on this topic in order to make the most of a great opportunity to live their second half of life with fulfillment and meaning. Meanwhile, our awareness of middle age has allowed us to make some new observations and thoughts and to discover an extremely interesting material that we believe can be a significant and necessary complement to the previous book.
