Three stars because there is no way to adjust the waist size. The front strings are only for decoration and it does not have the classic elastic band inside that children's pants have to adjust to the waist. If the child happens to have exactly the waist size that the pants have, then it's fine. But what do you do otherwise? Feed the child to make them gain weight? There are cheaper options that are much more quality and well-made in their construction.
