In the product, I gave it 5 stars because it truly deserves its price. It is a high-quality cooler, completely silent, and does what it's supposed to do (lower the temperature). If you have a PC with a window, it's a joy to see it. However, it is huge. It requires experience to install it on the motherboard, then around it, and then in the case, and also to do good cable management. On the motherboard I installed it, the graphics card barely touches the rubber pads it has on the corners. That is, if the PCI was half a centimeter further, I would have wasted money. Personally, my hands got bloody in a couple of spots because after I installed everything, I realized that one screw on the motherboard wasn't tightened, and then removing and reinstalling it was a hassle. I have built many PCs, and I think next time I will get a cooler with 120mm fans instead of 140mm ones.
It was installed on an i7-9700. Flawless. The temperature does not exceed 60 degrees in tests, while in games or idle, the temperature does not exceed 50. It has excellent heat dissipation, as when you stop any heavy or non-heavy work, the temperature immediately drops to 30. Of course, the thermal paste used also plays a significant role in achieving maximum performance. The temperatures I mentioned are with a push-pull configuration, using two fans of the same NOCTUA brand. However, I will focus on the pull fan since, after placing all the silicone pads, it makes a slight noise. It is annoying. There are no issues, but it is the sound created by the airflow. Both fans have been tested and do not have any problems, just like the heatsink. Through the BIOS, I have only set the maximum speed to 800RPM. Until that point, nothing can be heard. Of course, the push fan at 1500RPM is not audible. The installation is done very quickly and easily. It attaches directly to the processor without causing any issues. With the Asrock Z390 PRO4, the push fan does not leave enough space for the placement of the DIMMA1 memory. So, DUAL CHANNEL runs on DIMMA2 DIMMB2. The packaging also includes support for AMD SOCKET. I recommend it...
I decided to change the cooling system of my Corsair because I wanted to have peace of mind and prevent any leaks inside the case! So, I decided to go with Noctua! The results? The temperature of my i7 9700k, which used to reach 75 degrees, now stays steadily at 61 degrees while gaming and streaming simultaneously! It's an amazing, silent cooler that fits perfectly and looks beautiful! Now I don't have to worry about any tubes running inside the case! I realized that liquid cooling only offers visual effects and nothing substantial! Choose the 14s instead of the 12s if it fits in your case, after all, it's worth paying a little extra for something good!
The only thing I didn't like is that the surface that comes into contact with the processor had marks from the processing tools. I didn't expect that from such a high-quality product. At first, I thought it probably wouldn't matter since Noctua left them there. However, in the end, I decided to retail it and dropped another 3 degrees Celsius. It went from 81 degrees Celsius to 78 degrees Celsius on a Ryzen 3600. Of course, I feel more comfortable when the CPU is below 80. Everything else is good. Quiet, great warranty, excellent support from Noctua.
The cooler is perfect, (relatively) quiet, and easy to install. The only thing I don't like is the color of the stock fan, but at least there is the Chromax series from Noctua which has black fans, although they are relatively expensive. Of course, the colors are clearly visible in the product photos, so I don't consider this a negative.
I have it on an Asus Strix X370-F with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (undervolted to -0.0875V), all inside a Fractal Design Define C. The temperatures never exceed 75°C, while the cooler remains quiet at low to medium loads, and in full use of the processor (all cores at 100%), its presence is simply noticeable without becoming annoying.
However, if I overclock the 2700X to 4.2GHz @ 1.37V, then the temperatures in Prime95 Small FFTs stress test rise to 82-85°C. Of course, I don't consider this negative as this specific stress test loads the processor much more than a "normal" application would.
In more detail:
1) A cooler cannot be short, thin, and have exceptional cooling abilities, so the size is perfectly normal.
2) It does not have any issues with the first RAM memory, it has about 2 millimeters of space.
3) Beautifully packaged.
4) The thermal paste is quite good.
5) The fan, despite being brown, is very efficient and quiet.
6) The installation process is a breeze. Also, I would like to inform you that if someone wants to purchase the NM-AM4 mounting kit, even though it does not mention support for the U14S, the kit works perfectly fine. The only reason they don't mention it is due to (possible) compatibility issues between the cooler and the motherboard or small capacitors.
7) Inside the package, they also give you a crosshead screwdriver.
8) 6 years warranty for the fan.
9) It comes with two additional clips for adding a second fan of your choice (120mm), as well as 4 thicker anti-vibration rubber pads, a cable for reducing fan speed, a metal sticker with the well-known owl logo, and two rubber strips. Please note that if you add a second identical fan without the thick rubber pads, you will hear an annoying noise unless you run them at very low speeds. Otherwise, by using the thick rubber pads, this noise is almost eliminated.
10) In a 760t case with 3 140mm fans running the aida extreme program for an hour, it reached 46 degrees, while in Prime 95 Small FFT's it reached 49-50 degrees. These results are for a Ryzen 1600 with factory frequencies, and the fan was running at 750-760 RPM.
11) It supports a wide range of Intel & AMD processors (except for the Intel 1200 platform, at least until recently).
With the NA-HC6 cover and a chromax fan, you can create the ultimate tower and then simply forget about it. Besides the exceptional performance, you also have a fantastic result!
On a Ryzen 1600 at 3.8 GHz with a vcore of 1.216 and the prolimatech pk-3 thermal paste, I reach 57 degrees in Prime 95 with the fan running at 1020-1030 RPM in an H500P Mesh case, and 25 degrees at idle!
On the same processor at 3.9 GHz with 1.2375 volts, I reach 60 degrees in an aida stress test (FPU only) and the fan runs at 1060-1070 RPM. The motherboard running the system is a B350 Pc Mate.
Apart from the fact that it is bulky and relatively ugly (I have the Corsair 570x case and it shows), we also have the following:
1) Completely silent when you put your ear next to it with the case open, which was the main reason for my purchase.
2) As for cooling, there is no discussion. I have it on an 8700k and it has never gone above 45 degrees, even with 3 games open simultaneously for hours (wow, guild wars 2, hearthstone, with CPU usage at 32%), with room temperature somewhere between 20-30 degrees of course.
I wouldn't need anything else besides a cooler
+ Completely silent.
+ Very high cooling capacity even in hot weather.
+ Does not obstruct (in 90% of cases) memory modules in terms of height and width, even in a 2011 socket.
+ Easy installation and fits in most cases.
+ 6-year warranty (mainly for the fan) and excellent factory service.
+ Compatible with all motherboards, meaning you won't need to buy a new cooler for a possible upgrade or Intel-AMD change.
- Only comes with one fan in the original packaging, and if you need a second one, you'll have to spend around 25 euros extra.
One of the best air coolers currently available, easily replacing AIO liquid coolers and relieving you from the stress of installation, maintenance, and the uncertainty of hardware damage from leaks, etc.
Purchased for 75 euros and I believe it's worth its price.
The base is perfect. I haven't had an easier installation.

4. The appearance is a matter of personal taste, whether someone is bothered by this color or not.
5. It fits comfortably in the obsidian 450D.
6. The price for the performance it offers, which is close to liquid coolers, personally seems OK to me. It is also quiet, which from what I have read is a positive compared to liquid coolers where the fans from the radiator can be heard quite a few times.
7. I don't think it's worth getting the dual tower version (D15). The temperature difference is small to justify getting such a larger cooler.
Extremely easy installation in cases due to its compact size compared to the D15.
Excellent build quality (possibly the best in the world).
6-year warranty (especially in case the fan fails, which is not cheap).
Impressive performance that rivals more expensive liquid coolers like the H110.
Even the included thermal paste is of good quality.
The price objectively is not low, as we are talking about the version with 1 fan, and of course, in absolute performance, it falls behind the D15 with 2 fans. However, its main selling point, among others, is that it is cheaper than the second option and it doesn't take up as much space in the case.
The appearance could be better, although personally it didn't bother me.
