It provides extra volume because it also has a place for the S pen. I don't consider it a problem, on the contrary, I wanted it because it sits magnetically on the back of the tablet and remains unprotected or can come off (although it is particularly stable and sticks firmly).

I got it for the Tab S7+ (12.4" like the FE) and it fits perfectly. All the holes are in the same places and although various sites say it is strictly for the FE, this is not true.
