This thing is like they took it from the 90s and just put a nicer plastic on the outside. It does its job (each of the 6 bowls can hold enough food for 2 cats and so far they haven't managed to hack it), but it has two negatives: 1) Remember those big cylindrical batteries that your old CD player used to take? Well, this one needs 4 of those (I found a pair for 2.5 to 6 euros, excluding the screws) and it only works with batteries. 2) The interface is terrible, I had to refer back to the manual 2-3 times when I needed to adjust it. Oh yes! If you turn off the switch and turn it back on, it needs to be adjusted again, even the clock. The memory seems to be a luxury, after all, we are in the 90s, don't forget. In short, if you want something cheap that barely gets the job done, this gadget will do it. But for anything more, just spend an extra 30 euros and get one that has wifi, an app, and can even make coffee for your pet if you're lucky.

It works very well and fits about 1.5 packets of cat food in each bowl. We haven't tried washing it, but it cleans very easily with kitchen paper. It records a message but unfortunately it's not very loud, so if the cats are in another room, they don't hear it at all. The programming of the time is also hourly, meaning you can't set "and a half" or "and a quarter".
