Description

"Forbidden Love" is a story of passionate romance set in the village of Dafnila, near Dassia, a few kilometers from the city of Corfu, and as often happens, it ends in tragedy.

A large part of the narrative consists of the feelings and thoughts of the main character, who, from the very ceremony of the wedding and the celebration that follows, is tormented by his inner demons that do not leave him in peace for a moment. A slave to his passion, he loses his tranquility, struggles with himself to act rationally and not disturb the harmony of the social space to which he belongs, without realizing that human instincts are uncontrollable.

The reader of the story may wonder if what they read is a product of the author's fertile imagination or if it is a true story, literarily processed. The answer is given in the text by the author himself, who, referring to the passions of the people of the Corfiot countryside, notes that in the village everyone knew of similar incidents that violated "the divine laws of humanity and religion".

I respect the author, I really like it. However, I was disappointed with the book. I heard so much about this story, they told me about the series as well, and I felt like I was just reading the summary of the story and not the book itself! Anyone can read it in a day or two.
It is written in a dialect that I couldn't read at first, I would read a page and close it, it should be mentioned in the description!
It is one of the few times when the series is better than the book. (my opinion)
