The book "The Art of Strategy" is a in-depth analysis of fifty rules that condense the theory and application of strategy. Each of the rules is analyzed separately, while methods of application are examined in various fields of strategic confrontation such as war, politics, sports, etc. The book is written in an understandable style and is aimed at a wide readership. Overall, the authors provide a guide to strategic behavior at every level of life and build a comprehensive theory of strategy.

The Art of Strategy presents in a simple and understandable way, through 50 short chapters, the basic parameters of strategy.

The aphoristic form of the titles serves as a practical guide for strategic planning and critical analysis of current events.

It is not limited only to international relations, as the logic of strategy applies to any field where creative thinking and coordination of goals and means are required.

The subject of the book is the formulation of 50 rules that constitute or govern the art of strategy. However, the reason for the number 50 and not fewer or more is not clear. Each rule (recommendation) consists of a brief description of a paragraph and multiple examples from the fields of politics, history, and sports, with an emphasis on football. The inclusion of a strategic rule with an analysis of a goal by the football player Bouchalakis of Olympiacos in a recent (2021) game against Aris Thessaloniki is quite surprising.

The authors (distinguished academics) make a diligent effort to write in simple language. Indeed, the book is easily readable and understandable. However, I believe that they oversimplified the wording of their ideas with expressions and words that are more commonly found in spoken language. It will not be difficult for someone to read diagonally 300+ pages in 2 days.

There are some (few) inaccuracies in wording and several logical inconsistencies that are not adequately justified.

Perhaps the biggest weakness of this book lies in the expectations it creates for the reader without being fulfilled.
