Description

Antonis Raptis, a seventeen-year-old boy, bloodied Chrysodentri: he entered the single-classroom school with a stolen machine gun, killed the teacher and almost all his friends, and then set himself on fire. The massacre shook the remote village, but the police quickly closed the case. What happened was clear as day: another troubled kid who, prompted by a romantic disappointment, turned his jealousy into a deadly weapon.

But the wind of guilt still shakes the trees of the village. The perpetrator's mother knows that the killer and her son were not the same person. The only victim of the attack who still has their senses struggles to articulate the truth. And the souls of the dead students scream, bicker, and keep their secret well.
Philip Sextos, a collector of testimonies and aspiring writer, travels to grief-stricken Chrysodentri. Something about the whole affair doesn't let him rest: he must speak with the parents, the siblings, with Maro, the most tragic of the mothers.
When a child kills other children, does it remain a child? And when blood is shed unjustly, what is the first injustice, the root of the evil? A mystery story, a chase for the truth. Who killed first and which victim was forgotten? A dark tale that takes your breath away.
