Description

In the last three decades - and more specifically, after the abolition of the inspectorate institution - when the word evaluation is only whispered in schools, we have... almost a war. However... we do not have a real war with armies, heroic trade union actions, and ministers who heroically fall, we simply have a war of trenches, bloodless and ballistic, which repeats itself in the midst of hypocritical "dialogues", a theater of the absurd, with protagonists being trade unionists, politicians, senior officials of the Ministry, and the - always willing - mass media. The war, according to the declarations of the protagonists, aims to highlight the only "truth". Exclusions, blackmail dilemmas, ideological and factional whirlwinds, interspersed with scientific arguments, create the necessary "noise" so that the voice of the real "victims" of the war is not heard and ultimately everything remains as it is, in the convenient... "nothing".

On the one hand, the book records the contemporary scientific "trends" and experiences from the implementation of the evaluation of educators worldwide, and on the other hand, it tries to present, as objectively as possible, the historical course of non-evaluation in Greece. From this perspective, it addresses all the participants in education in our country, parents, educators, and... ministers of Education!
