I bought it for work, as I am an elevator technician and I wanted to change my watch from time to time. I have a ProTrek, a G-Shock, and a Luminox. This specific watch has been certified with mil tech standards, which is a plus for me because it will have contact with metallic objects and may experience shocks. The reviews I read online (buttons get stuck, it leaks water, compass needs constant calibration, dark screen, poor after-sales service) are not encouraging, but the ProTrek watches that I like and deserve cost much more, and the corresponding G-Shock watches with ABC features are not visible because they are too bulky.

This watch is what we call tactical and it sits nicely on the wrist, weighing 66 grams, which you don't feel at all. The case diameter is 49.5mm and the strap is 24mm, made of improved canvas compared to the regular Core version, which was made of silicone and would break. This one is breathable, durable, and you can find third-party Zulu-type straps for it. The crystal has a curved mineral glass and reflects light. Generally, the composite resin material used for the case construction may seem a bit cheap, but it is made in Finland, if that matters to someone.

We are talking about a stand of ABC (altimeter, barometer, compass) watch, and as such, the user should treat it accordingly. It doesn't have GPS, so for altitude and compass errors, you need to calibrate them as needed, just like with ProTrek watches. Also, to get an accurate temperature reading, you need to take it off your wrist for 10 minutes. Some of its features include sunrise/sunset times, weather tracking, stopwatch, countdown timer, altimeter, barometer, compass, depth meter up to 10 meters, and it is waterproof up to 30 meters.

So far, I have found two disadvantages:
    1. The screen is very dark, even though you can adjust the contrast. If you are over 40, think about it again or get the regular version with a positive display.
    2. The altitude cannot be adjusted independently from the barometer.

Other than that, it has storm alert if you are deep in a gorge and can't see the sky, and the barometric pressure drops rapidly, it will notify you. The red night light is not very useful, unless you are in military or hunting conditions where you need concealment and want to maintain your night vision. There is a setting to activate the light with all the buttons, so you can use all the features in the dark.

The battery is a CR2032, which you can find easily in the market, and it lasts for 10-12 months. You can easily change it yourself with the help of a coin, so it mitigates the disadvantage compared to solar ProTrek watches. Just be careful when changing it to ensure that the cover is properly screwed and check the O-ring for waterproofing. A bit of silicone for watches helps to keep it flexible, but I found replacement O-rings for 5 euros.

Only time will tell. Some people swear by it, while others consider it garbage. It's not cheap at 250€, so if it disappoints, I will update
