The monitor supports the VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard with high brightness and wide contrast, for an even more enjoyable visual experience of images, movies, and HDR games.
The LG UHD 4K HDR monitor can essentially transform typical content into HDR quality video on the screen. It enhances color mapping and brightness of SDR content into an HDR-like experience.
The IPS monitor with 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage provides stunning color accuracy and wide viewing angles, delivering high-fidelity colors for vibrant scene reproduction, so you can enjoy your entertainment content.

Customize your desktop by dividing the screen or adjusting the basic screen options with a few mouse clicks.
The one-click base facilitates installation without the need for any additional equipment. You can flexibly adjust the tilt, height, and rotation of the screen on the horizontal axis, for placement in the optimal position for you.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The screen that I replaced was a good HP 22" spva series from 2010, so after all this time it is logical to have expectations. I chose it to be 4K and 27" so that I wouldn't have pixelation in the letters, and I believe that if you don't play games, there is no reason to go for a lower resolution. I use it for office work and a little bit of video.
Now, the big negative is that the screen has ips glow, it doesn't have blending as many call it. I thought that after all these years, ips would have overcome this, but it hasn't. And from what I see from the adjacent review of the more expensive UP850 (it also has images), this is a problem even in more expensive series. Compared to the UP600, I only see a difference in the stand. The ips glow is not intense when you are directly in front of it, slightly worse than the spva, especially in a bright room it is not noticeable. But from the sides and in the dark, it is.
The stand, for me, is not worth it because even though it has rotation (pivot) and up-down adjustment, it doesn't have left-right adjustment. Maybe with 50€ less (compared to the UP600), I would have gotten a better stand, or I would have used the old one. Of course, the screen is very lightweight and doesn't demand much from the stand. Another downside is that it doesn't go lower than 10cm when it is in the lowest position.
I have tested it on both Mac and PC, they recognize it as a 32" LG ULTRAFINE. It was very clear on the PC, on the Mac, I disabled smoothfont (with terminal) to achieve the clarity of the PC.
It is very bright, very much so. I have the brightness at 0 and the contrast at 45, but I am not on the bright side. With the old one, I had it at 10/90.
At brightness 0, it consumes 15 watts, and at 100, it consumes 40 watts.
In the various modes it has, usually, it is locked except for many others, and the contrast, which is unacceptable because if you don't decrease the contrast, the overall brightness doesn't decrease. Not to mention that it can affect the colors, when the contrast is increased too much, the gray of Windows 10 becomes yellowish.
Maybe they made it so bright to achieve the contrast ratios, maybe the brightness doesn't decrease much because it has LED flickering at low levels.
Now, for image editing and calibration, it has many settings but not in many locked modes. I can't help with that, but it is a wide gamut, it has a wider color palette for photography, but in everyday use, it accentuates the colors. I was used to it because the previous one was like that, it is impressive in photos.
It doesn't have automatic input selection, so to switch between different inputs, you have to do it manually, and it doesn't automatically recognize which one is active.
As you can understand, I am referring to the disadvantages. The screen is impressive otherwise. If you remove the glow, which is not visible when you are directly in front of it, it looks like the IPS screen of an iPhone. Finally, it mentions that it is gaming, when I activated the option, I saw a difference in the EIZO test (google it).
In all the tests of the EIZO test, it was perfect, especially in uniformity, except for the test with the viewing angle.
In the viewing angles up-down and left-right, after 45°, the brightness decreases slightly, it doesn't distort the colors like TN panels, but if you simultaneously move left or right and up, besides the decrease in brightness, the ips glow increases dramatically and you see a haze (see photo from review of UP850).
In this review, I only mention the flaws, it doesn't mean that other models or brands are better than this screen just because they are ranked higher in reviews and people say "wow".
If you have a bright room, the screen is impressive, but in a dark room, it will show the drawbacks of the panel. Maybe in a dark room, you should go for a VA panel, but there aren't many VA panels available, so they are not as good as IPS panels. There is also the option for IPS panels above 600-800€, some Eizo or NEC monitors that have filters for IPS glow, but I don't think it's worth it, not to mention they will have other drawbacks. I bought it for 300€ and I think it's worth it
