Description
The death of a seventeen-year-old comes to disrupt the life of a mountain village. The residents will easily believe that an entity wandering in the forest is responsible. They consider their village to have been haunted for many years. The investigations will intensify when the father receives a phone call and hears the voice of his dead child. The case is taken on by private investigator Gabriel Gakos.
Everyone is innocent and guilty at the same time, as three more murders will shock them. Who is hiding behind the mask of the Scorpion? A shadow from the past or someone living in this small community?
The tall trees of the mountain were covered in white snow, like cotton, and the wooden houses in the snowy landscape looked as if they were painted on a white canvas. From this height, Kastrí could be seen from end to end. The village was surrounded by towering trees and mountains – as far as the eye could see. In the dense forest, the ravine could also be seen. The line of water appeared and disappeared every so often, tracing zigzags under the trees. Somewhere there was the spot where the body of Demis Polyvios was found. What a sad thought to have while looking at this pristine and serene landscape...

It almost hit a lull somewhere in the middle and I stopped caring about Detective Gakos, his past, and the personal problems that plagued him. The ending was probably awkward and rushed.

I became so attached to the protagonist of the book that I was deeply moved at certain points. I'm not a fan of detective stories, but I enjoyed reading it and it didn't bore me for a moment.
