In 500 BC, Ionia revolted against the Persian conquerors and the Greeks supported their revolution. As a result, the Persians turned towards the Greek territory and invaded it. In 492 BC, they attacked Macedonia, by land and sea. Persians and Greeks fought at Marathon, Thermopylae, and Salamis. Against the outnumbering Persian army, the Greeks deployed hoplites and triremes, while utilizing their superior tactics. The charismatic leaders of the Greeks also played a decisive role in the outcome of the war.

300: Earth & Water is a war game for two opponents that will transport you to the events of the Persian Wars. One player controls the Greeks, gathered around the Athenians, and the other controls the Persians, fighting for dominance in the Mediterranean. Through five campaigns, the player who controls the most cities will emerge as the winner.

The game is based on a card-driven system. You will raise armies and play cards for their events, events that will give you an advantage in battles.

The rules are simple, the duration of the game is short, but both Greeks and Persians will deploy a wide range of strategies to meet the challenge.
