Very good for what it is and for its cost. I bought it as an emergency radio in case of earthquakes so we can listen to the news and see what's happening.
Under the rechargeable battery, there is space and contacts for use with alkaline batteries (probably D?). I haven't tested if it actually works, but neither the description here, the manual, nor the box mention anything about using alkaline batteries.
On the side, there is a relatively powerful LED light which is perfect for the intended use.
The pleasant surprise was that the rechargeable battery is of the 18650 type (instead of the plate shown in the photo), so someone can easily replace it with a much better quality one, quite easily and relatively cheaply.
The only downside is that the charging cable is of the mini USB type instead of the more common micro USB that most people have as a backup at home (e.g. from a mobile phone). Of course, someone can get a standalone charger for 18650 batteries or, if it indeed works that way, use alkaline batteries (again, with caution).
In summary, it is an excellent emergency radio, very cheap, elegant, and convenient. Especially if I confirm that it can also take alkaline batteries as an alternative power source, it will be perfect.
I bought it today (5/4) from a Chinese store and it's perfect, the only problem is that the AM channels might need a mountain
