But 50 euros for 3 games that are 35 years old is too much!
It doesn't support extra games, roms...
Nintendo is doing what it did with the NES mini & SNES mini, but in this case, it is limited to only 3 games in the first Zelda games for NES and Game Boy... which you can find on similar clone consoles for 10 euros.
A big downside is that it resembles the corresponding version of MARIO and not the 1989 one of the game & watch with the dual screen.

A very beautiful collectible piece of Nintendo. Its case is also a stand. Very good for collecting.
Nintendo, after the mediocre release of the G&W Super Mario Bros, comes back strong with this small and miraculous console! I received it as a Christmas gift 2 months ago, and I said I would do the review after completing a game. In the end, I completed 2 games and I will tell you my opinion in detail. Before I start, don't think that this is just a game that you will give to your child or to a baptism, as it is a piece that should be added to a collector's collection and not thrown in the basket of useless items after being mistreated and underappreciated.
Initially, the console includes 3 games + the classic Game & Watch game, Vermin.

GAMES:
The games are enough to keep someone entertained for a while, but not for too long. Considering the price of the console, they are a decent number, but unfortunately, you cannot add more games like you could with other mini consoles from Nintendo, Sony, SEGA... So if you are concerned about the number of games, it would be good to make sure you like them before making the purchase. The truth is, personally, they seem few to me, considering that A Link to the Past would have been wonderful to be included... However, the ones that are included are enjoyable and offer plenty of action in the magical world of Hyrule (Zelda 1-2) and Koholint Island (Link's Awakening). So, with 3 wonderful games and the Nintendo signature, words are unnecessary!!!
FUNCTIONALITY:
The console runs smoothly. It doesn't freeze anywhere and the emulators are not poor adaptations of the games found on the internet. The only times it froze slightly were in the first Zelda, although this is not a problem as it is barely noticeable. The D-pad and buttons work perfectly with a truly amazing response! It functions flawlessly without any flaws, and the buttons have that clicky sound that I like so much...
BUILD QUALITY:
Nintendo simply did something very unique here with certain touches and details that I would like you to discover on your own (small hint: turn the brightness to the maximum, turn off the lights in the room, and look around). The buttons and D-pad work perfectly without any issues. Due to its lightweight, don't throw your G&W on the floor, or at least be careful not to drop it because it can break and that would be a shame...
BATTERY:
Nintendo claims that the battery lasts for 2 days, although personally, I don't believe it very much. With heavy usage, sometimes up to five hours a day (spread throughout the day), and another five hours as a clock and timer, it is decent but not 2 days as the company claims. Charging is usually done from the MacBook with the included USB-C cable in the package. It takes around 25-30 minutes and it will be ready for at least 10+ hours of usage, which I find very convenient. It could last longer, but for what it is, it's great! If someone wants to use it more as a clock, it would be a good idea to have it permanently connected to a device for continuous power supply (an idea also suggested by the company).
SOUND:
The sound is simply CRYSTAL clear!!! From a small speaker in the top left corner, a really powerful sound comes out, with satisfying bass. You don't need to have it loud to appreciate its beauty. However, it lacks a very useful audio jack for listening to your music with headphones, for more comfort and privacy. Additionally, many people were bothered by the sound that the clock makes (an electronic tick-tock), which may distract and annoy. It's not a problem, just lower the volume or lower it enough so it's not audible.
SCREEN:
The screen is small, but very good. It accurately and clearly displays the colors and shades of the games, bringing them to life. It is bright enough to be seen clearly without any problems, especially in high lighting conditions, mainly outdoors. What bothered me was only in the game Zelda 2, as this diagonal movement of the game after a certain point causes dizziness and blurs the eyes (less so after half an hour). This is also influenced by the size of the screen, which being small restricts the vision to a very small frame and can be tiring (only in Zelda 2, it works perfectly in the other two games!).
CONCLUSION:
For its price, I consider it good, although if you want, wait a little longer until it drops even more. What it offers is proportional to the price and will impress you. Its small size works ideally for a portable console, making it even more practical.
In closing, I would like to express my sincere opinion about the games Zelda 1987 and Link's Awakening...
They are simply magical games!
Link's Awakening: Your goal is to escape from an island where Link ended up after a storm. However, there is a giant egg at the top of the mountain, inside of which lies the wind fish, which has been cursed to eternal sleep... the nightmares! You must collect the eight enchanted musical instruments, play the melody of the wind fish, and awaken it in order to leave the island... However, as the story progresses and the mystery of this strange island becomes clear, the ugly truth is revealed...
An epic!!! Such a feeling of adventure and freedom in such an interesting world that fills you with beautiful thoughts and emotions. Link at his best, with bosses that are not so demanding and dungeons better designed than ever. Fun and truly emotional, especially at the end...
The Legend of Zelda: This is the first game from the beloved Zelda series. In The Legend of Zelda, the Triforce of Wisdom and Triforce of Power are described as "golden triangles that possess mystical powers" that grant great power to their holders. Before the events of the game, Ganon attacked the kingdom of Hyrule and stole the Triforce of Power. Princess Zelda, fearing the evil that Ganon would cause, divided the Triforce of Wisdom into eight pieces and hid them in the dungeons beneath Hyrule. Link must fight through the eight dungeons to retrieve the pieces of the Triforce of Wisdom and then battle through Ganon's fortress (Death Mountain, a very difficult level, in perfect Greek... palouki...) to defeat him and reclaim the Triforce of Power that Ganon possesses. Your goal is to rescue Princess Zelda, who is held captive by the pig-shaped prince of darkness, Ganon. And this is an AMAZING game, with every element creating a combination of intense nostalgia and the joy of a little child playing the game for the first time. The graphics in this are worse, but the experiences it leaves you with surpass every expectation....!

This specific Nintendo product was released to celebrate the 35 years of Legend of Zelda. Nintendo indeed learned from the mistakes made with the previous game and watch (Super Mario Bros.) and as a result, the final product offers much more value for money compared to the previous one. Firstly, a stand is included in the packaging, so the device can function as a clock. Additionally, it includes 3 games (the 2 Legend of Zelda NES games and Link's Awakening for Gameboy), and there is even the option to choose between European and Japanese versions, unlike the previous game and watch, which only included 2 games. Furthermore, it also includes a mini game where you face enemies within a specific time frame, and one can "play" with the clock by controlling Link. Finally, the included game Vermin is more entertaining than Ball, which was included in the previous game and watch. In conclusion, I highly recommend it for Legend of Zelda fans and collectors, but if someone is a casual gamer, I suggest buying it when the price drops or getting one of the "pirated" Gameboys that are cheaper and have more games, although they may not have the same build quality.
