I have finished hairdressing (I no longer practice it). Until now, I straightened my hair with a professional hairdryer. Not on a daily basis.
I have frizzy and fine hair that tends to break easily. I used it at 200 degrees due to my fine hair. With just two passes, it had the desired result and lasted until the next wash, and my hair was smooth.
I used it in the same way on my sister, who has curly, thick, and fine hair that tends to frizz. She also had very good results and the duration was unexpected! Used at 200 degrees for her as well.
Whether and how much it damages the hair is a matter of frequency and proper use of the product always!
However, a straightener that doesn't damage the hair at all, let's not fool ourselves, doesn't exist even if it's professional!
But this one is worth its money!!!

Unacceptable device. After months of use, I have to say the following. It straightens very well, keeps the hair straight for days (not because the iron is good, but because it burns excessively. Good/professional irons give the same result at a low temperature), but it has damaged my ends. I used another straightener from the same company for years, day after day, with proper care and the right products, and I never had any damage to my hair except for the minimal expected. Since I switched to this one after my old one broke, my hair has become very frizzy at the ends and the strands are broken. They are constantly being cut and breaking everywhere. And I must note that my hair is very thick and resistant, it's not fine hair that breaks easily, and I have never dyed it to make it damaged. The only thing I have changed is the straightener. I will have to give it away and buy another one. It has ruined my hair in just 3 months of use. Unfortunately, this review will be buried because the product has too many good reviews, but if anyone sees this, stay away! It has cost me a lot of money in haircuts, treatments, and products to restore my hair. I was stingy and didn't want to spend a little more money to buy a professional iron, and now I have paid a much higher price to fix my hair. Save your hair, guys, and invest in GHD or CHI. Don't make the same mistake as me.
The best! Speed in heating, very nice and comfortable handle, keeps the straightening and the curled hair for hours and I have thin and curly hair!!! Awesome value for money!!
It does its job. If not this one check another Remington device. they have the best devices for hair straightening.
Excellent brush! I gave it as a gift to a friend and after some time and borrowing it, I bought one for myself too. In a very short time, you have well-groomed hair! The temperature is recommended to be low if you have fine hair to avoid burning it.
As a straightener, it does a good job, and also for curls. Unfortunately, this one in the middle catches the hair, resulting in pulling and damaging the hair. Overall, the hair gets caught all around the straightener and I would not recommend it
I have been using it for about 1 month, I have curls (not very dense but persistent), it doesn't frizz during the day and it holds for the next day as well.
It's amazing and has nothing to envy from other expensive brands. It's worth 100% of its money for me, who has slightly wavy hair to straight.
I bought it to replace my previous straightener which suddenly started shutting off on its own. I had the previous model and I was very satisfied, it lasted almost 5 years with regular use. I made the purchase seeing the good reviews but I was completely disappointed. Very fake construction compared to the previous one. Okay, it heats up very quickly but it doesn't straighten with just one pass like I was used to with the other one. Note that my hair is long and almost straight. The Plates do not glide nicely, neither on straightening nor on curls. I always use heat protection but my hair looks damaged and not smooth after using it. Very bad choice, do not prefer it!
I bought it for my girlfriend and since the beginning of January that she has been using it, her hair is healthier, longer, and does not break due to the flat iron. She has only good things to say. One negative is the fake construction of the button on the flat iron case, which after a few months of use, opens and closes, it is certain that it will tear, but for now it has not broken. Great value for money, do not look elsewhere unless you want something fancy.
Just received it and made a very quick attempt to straighten my hair, and I am thrilled! I hope it continues like this!!!! I have never achieved such fast results before! My hair is very curly with fine strands, I'm just afraid of the temperature!

The only thing I don't like is that its cable is not flexible and the overall construction looks cheap. However, it does the job!
The straightener is PERFECT! My hair doesn't straighten even at the hair salon, but with this one, I straighten it and have perfect hair until I wash it again! The same goes for when I curl it. The most value for money product I have purchased!
I have had it for 5 years, I have curly hair and used it once a month. Recently, I started using it more often and also made curls. I should emphasize that my hair became frizzy. They smell like fried steak and it's unbearable. Also, the curls don't hold. I hadn't noticed this smell before, since I had used two heat protectants, I thought something smells while using it. With another straightener, this hasn't happened to me, I don't think it's worth it, they frizz in 30 minutes
I have frizzy hair and thick strands. Unfortunately, it did nothing for my hair. I even tried curling it, but the curls don't hold at all. On the plus side, it heats up quickly and comes with a carrying case.
(I have resorted to using a hair straightener for straightening, and if I want a light wave, I use the hair curling iron, which I am quite satisfied with as it lasts for about 3 days).
I have bought 3 in the last three years (no issues, I just liked them and gave them as gifts). The only thing I have to say is that in all three cases, it was noticed that it would suddenly shut down on its own. Rare, but it happened and I don't know if it has to do with the voltage (?) Afterward, it would fix itself, never needing any control. Otherwise, everything is great
Excellent hair straightener. It lasted me 9 whole years and unfortunately it broke now. I generally have easily frizzy hair, so I don't know if I'm the right person to judge if it keeps the straightness. Personally, before using this, I always applied heat protectant cream and after straightening, I used hair oil. The straightness would last for a day to a day and a half. The next day, it would require another quick pass, but as I mentioned, I have a lot of hair that easily frizzes. So, in non-humid conditions, the result was perfect. And when combined with the right products, it doesn't damage the hair, but rather makes it smooth.
Good for the money, it needs quick passes. When I pass them multiple times, they look the same in the front and I don't notice that they appear burnt at the bottom
It is very good and has a good price, it heats up easily and can be used for straightening and curling, it comes in a very nice case and overall it is a good and affordable choice.
It is the second time I buy it. It is excellent, except that the second one for some reason makes a strange noise. Otherwise, it is a great product.
I have been using this specific device for 3 years now! The result is excellent even at 180 degrees. It can compete with much more expensive straighteners. It heats up in half a minute and if you forget it, it shuts off on its own after a while! It is lightweight and slim without any bulkiness to straighten even the frizz of your hair. It doesn't take up space and the beige leather case is something else! I recommend it to everyone, it's worth the money!
I struggled to believe that a cheap private can do such a good job. I highly recommend it after a year of use
I had this particular hair straightener years ago and I bought it again now to try it again. It does exactly the same job it did years ago, it straightens the hair perfectly, of course my hair doesn't hold it not because of this straightener in general no straightener holds my hair. It is excellent, I recommend it 100%, it does an incredible job and with just one pass it also does not damage the hair due to the ceramic plates it has that reach up to 230°C and it is a very good economical choice, years ago I had it for about 60 euros now it is half the price. I don't know how it does curls because I have curly hair and I don't curl it. GET IT
I got it for my wife, we haven't had it for long (one week) but it's a great value for money choice
I have had this specific one for about 5-7 years and I can say that not only has it paid for itself, but it also functions like new every time I use it, which is definitely 1-2 times a week. Just get it without hesitation
It broke both times I bought it in exactly one year, and not with systematic use. They did not replace it either time
After straightening, the hair has a bad smell and looks very damaged. I do not recommend it under any circumstances.
I straighten my hair on a daily basis with various models of Remington without any issues, but this is the only straightener that has damaged my hair since I started using it three months ago. It leaves my ends dry and brittle, and it breaks my hair during use without holding the straightness at all. I truly regret the moment I bought it, so don't make the same mistake as me!
I am satisfied with this purchase. I use it twice a week and always with heat protection products at 180 degrees, so I don't have any damage to my hair. It heats up quickly and glides through my hair. I haven't noticed anything regarding a bad smell. I recommend it.
I used it for loose curls and not for straightening since I have straight hair. It stopped working in less than a year and I have noticed that the cable does not make good contact. I don't think it's worth sending it for service.
While it is very good, it has an issue. When it is turned on, it turns off by itself. I sent it for service and still the same! And after straightening, the hair has a bad smell (unrelated to the problem I mentioned earlier)
Very good in terms of use but all 3 presses broke in less than a year and suddenly one day they wouldn't open
