Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a pretty bad title, which definitely can't look in the eyes and compare to other games of its genre like Outriders or the upgraded versions of Warframe, Destiny 2, and Division 2 for PlayStation 5. If you are a fan of the Alien universe and want to exterminate hordes of Xenomorphs with Pulse Rifles and flamethrowers, then it's worth taking a look at it, as long as its servers are still open. The rest of us, let's cross our fingers and hope that Creative Assembly tried it and started developing Alien Isolation 2 on the same day...
Very mediocre game.
In terms of graphics and sound, it barely surpasses the base, but in 2021, I consider it unacceptable to have such performance, especially in these two categories.
On the other hand, I think that the production company lacks experience, and as their first serious attempt (after Star Trek Online), they have shown some good elements.
The upgrade system is very good, and the game feels different when playing with friends.
It may be repetitive and relatively poor in content, but the devs have promised free and paid extra content that will come in the future.
I don't want to be overly strict, but it left me with a bittersweet taste. It reminded me of a mix of Alien Colonial Marines, Operation Racoon City, and Dead Space.
Fans of the Alien movies should take a look, but I don't think others will find anything to keep them interested.
