Description

After Angelis found himself imprisoned in the cage of Sahin Aga, hatred nested in his soul like a venomous snake.

During his explosive and captivating journey, he enters the service of a harsh and stingy merchant, who sells you fire for a candle. He is bound by the leaden cloud of slavery and the humiliation of the ragged. He merges with Kerasia, where dreams dive into her face and swim. He confronts kotzabasides, koligous, and fellow warriors, who are more than brothers and wives in the hour of battle, while a frightened Turkish boy clings to him.

On his way, he encounters two old men who search for the motive behind everything and the sweet and venomous substance of the "self," the wandering Aspasia, diabolical strangers, local adventurers, the silent Simeon for thirty-six years, a horseman who saves captive Turkish girls, and the fiercest enemy of the free man, fear.

Angelis experiences the grandeur and the dark side of the painted Eikosiena, demolishing myths and revealing hidden truths. He embraces the fire of rebellion, transforms savagery into hope, redemption, and sweetness, and thunders: "I want to be a ragged to no one. A ragged to nothing!"

Patras, Tripolitsa, Nafplio, Messolonghi...

After Angelis found himself imprisoned in Sahin Aga's chicken coop, hatred nested in his soul like a venomous snake.
During his explosive and simultaneously enchanting journey, he enters the service of a grumpy and stingy merchant who sells fireflies for lanterns. He is enveloped by the leaden cloud of slavery and the humiliation of the serfs. He joins forces with Kerasia, where dreams dive and swim in her presence. He encounters landlords, peasants, and comrades-in-arms, who are more than brothers and a woman in the heat of battle, while a frightened Turkish boy clings to him.

On his path, there are two old men who scrutinize the motive for everything, as well as the sweet and poisonous essence of the "ego", the beguiling Aspasia, diabolical strangers, local adventurers, the mute for thirty-six years Simeon, a horseman who rescues captive Turkish women, and the greatest enemy of the free man, fear.
Angelis experiences the grandeur and the dark side of the blood-soaked Twenty-One, shattering myths and revealing buried truths. He embraces the fire of the uprising, transforms savagery into hope, redemption, and sweetness, and loudly declares: "I want to be a slave to no one. A slave to nothing!"
