  I have bought the machine about a month ago and I wanted to try it before writing my review.
  I have read the excellent reviews it has received both here and abroad from reputable Sound sites.
  In conclusion, I am thrilled with the machine!!
  High-quality construction and exceptional sound!! It is worth multiple times the money you pay!!
  I would also recommend investing in the power supply by purchasing the ifi power2 silence.

  The iFi Audio Zen DAC v2 is a respectable machine.
  I have connected it to my iPad Pro and the music streams from Tidal HiFi Plus sound wonderful, airy, and natural. Especially the Master files from Tidal and generally the MQA files sound incredibly authentic. Obviously, it is a very well-designed machine.
  Listening to Hi-Res files from Apple Music (because I am a subscriber to Apple Music) labeled as High Res Lossless by Apple, I get the same enjoyable sound.
  I should note that the DAC has a color code that shows you the type of music format and the sampling frequency of the music file.
  In conclusion, it is an exceptional machine that can easily "sit" in a rack with expensive machines of multiple times its value!

  Quite good DAC, it doesn't affect the sound quality and that's what I wanted to match with the Senheiser HD560S. The build quality is very good, the only negative thing I would say is the USB cable that comes with it because it is too short.

  Solid construction and beautiful lines exude aesthetics.

  Beautiful and sturdy construction, by looking at it you can assume that it costs more than what you paid. I use the DAC and bypass the potentiometer section with the transformer bypass that it has on the back. The rest of the system consists of a Gainclone amplifier and the Elac debut reference speakers. All of this in my computer office. The sound is pleasant and realistic, I am completely satisfied with its performance. However, the headphone section is clearly lacking. Even though theoretically it can drive high impedance headphones, it performed poorly with the Sennheiser 650 HD. And with the easier AKG 240 STUDIO, the result was very mediocre. If someone intends to use it as a source for headphones, I would recommend looking for something else. To conclude the rambling, a stabilized external power supply at 5V is necessary, nothing exotic, an LM 317 is sufficient.

  The sound is very loud without having connected an external (5V) power cable and the power match works well.
  I quite like the bass boost of my iFi, to the point where I have it permanently on, it matches well with my DT 990 Pro headphones which are not particularly known for their bass.
  Without having much experience with DAC/AMPS, I declare myself satisfied!

  P.S. For those who know that the color on the knob changes with the bitrate and the type of audio track being played from the device, I note that for it to work correctly, your player (e.g. musicbee/foobar) needs to have exclusive WASAPI or ASIO interface set up
