The SVS 3000 Micro belongs to the 3000 series. We could say that it is the little brother of the SB-3000 and PB-3000. Unlike most "micro" subwoofers on the market that have 1 active and 1 passive radiator, the 3000 Micro has 2 active drivers. It shares the same amplifier as its huge brother (PB-3000) and also features the DSP found in the Pro versions of the 1000/2000 series as well as the large subs from SVS (PB-3000/PB-4000/PB-16 Ultra/SB-3000/SB-4000/etc).
The DSP allows the user to adjust various parameters of the subwoofer either through the controls on the back of the 3000 Micro or via the mobile application for Android & iOS.
Thanks to the dual 8-inch active drivers and the cabinet design, SVS managed to bring life to even very low frequencies (specifically, the "usable" response starts at around 23Hz), which is almost impossible in a subwoofer with such a small cabinet! While it may not go as low as the monstrous PB-3000/4000/16 Ultra that reach down to 13Hz, the 22-23Hz range is very well reproduced with the help of room gain.
If I were to set up another system in the living room, for example, and not in a separate entertainment room, I would get as many 3000 Micros as I could and have peace of mind! It truly has very good performance, it is beautiful (especially in white!), it is not bulky (less complaining from the ladies!) and with the "quantity" we can achieve results that only much more expensive and larger subwoofers can deliver.
