When her boss rejects her final proposal, Verity Banks, a high-ranking executive at the World Bank, devises the ultimate business revenge: to breach the computerized security systems and hide some money where no one can find it, in order to demonstrate to top management how easy it is to embezzle large sums. But then financial whiz Zoltan Tor, Verity's former mentor, raises the stakes even higher. He proposes stealing one billion dollars, investing it with the goal of making thirty million in a few months, and putting the initial amount back before anyone realizes it's missing. And to make the challenge more interesting, they add an element of competition between them - with Dr. Tor giving his talented apprentice an advantage: she can commit the theft using a computer, while he cannot...
