My previous hp printer, despite being used only occasionally, left me stranded in the middle of a print job due to its unreliability. I needed a new all-in-one printer for documents, not photos, relatively quickly. Even the cheapest printers can print at an acceptable level, so I didn't need anything fancy.
After trying out 3-4 cheaper all-in-one printers from different manufacturers, none of which left a good impression, I decided to take a risk and buy a more expensive one, even though there were no reviews available.
The main reason was that I wanted to get rid of the annoying paper feeder on top of the cheaper printers, which takes up a lot of space, is fragile, collects dust, and often fails to feed paper properly. Additionally, I didn't like the aesthetics of these printers, and the reviews for the available options were not encouraging.
In practice, the most important positive feature of my new printer, besides the easy-to-use bottom paper tray, was its immediate wifi connection. It was the first all-in-one printer I've owned that didn't give me trouble connecting, especially with the hp smart app. The printer connects quickly every time I turn it on.
The printer is heavy and sturdy, but with the right dimensions that don't make it bulky. It has different lighting depending on the task and an audible notification. It doesn't have a screen, only bright touch buttons and a small dot matrix display that shows the number of pages.
It takes two 305 ink cartridges. I don't have an opinion on ink consumption yet, but I believe all printers in this category are roughly equally ink-hungry, so they are suitable for occasional home use, otherwise, you should consider other options.
It's relatively fast in printing and scanning and noticeably less noisy than the cheaper hp printers I've had before, which caused a small earthquake in my office when starting to print. I haven't printed double-sided yet, although it has this feature.
The cost is 20-30 euros more than a basic printer that does the job, but personally, I think it's worth it for the trouble-free, quiet operation and the beauty of it.
**Update: The double-sided printing function is simply wonderful and easy. I printed from Libre Office Writer very quickly. The process should be the same in all applications: Print > Properties > Print on both sides > Flip on long side. Overall, I think this printer is a 5-star choice for my needs and for the average user.
**Update: I filled the black cartridge with an old compatible hp aftermarket ink, and it prints smoothly.
2 weeks. My relatives are still looking for me and don't know where I am. I have been locked in my room for 2 weeks, constantly clicking on the computer screen trying to avoid the endless registrations, subscriptions, and HP account creations that HP keeps throwing at me on the screen while I press "skip" and "I do not wish". I managed to survive without food because I got some bread. Seriously, HP, I bought a printer. I just want to press print and be done with it. I don't want subscriptions and nonsense or accounts on your platforms. P.S. a month ago, HP blocked its printers that didn't have HP ink but some cheap alternative. If this is true, it's another huge fail as a company. I hope it doesn't apply to this model as well. As a printer, as a machine, it seems okay.
Edit: It was sold, I bought a Canon with ink jet and found my peace.

It works quite well, but not always. Very often it appears offline and needs a couple of restarts (sometimes even the computer) to recover. As for the scanner, it never works with programs other than HP. Watch the video to see what happens when I try to scan with another program, even the simple one from Windows.
The pros are that it doesn't need a cable because it connects with WiFi and it can print on both sides of the paper.
I use it lightly: maybe 1 to 2 times a month to scan something, and the same amount of times I print 10 to 30 pages at a time.
My wife bought it to print photos and it prints very well. Overall good construction. Installation was easy. It becomes even better if you sign up for the instant ink service. HP gives extra FREE months of ink if you use the code 38jfsh when activating the Instant Ink service!!!! Also, when you sign up for the instant ink service, HP will send you a FREE set of inks that have more ink capacity than even the XXL inks sold in stores. You can stop the service whenever you want. Personally, I believe that if someone uses a lot of ink, it is worth having the service. It will pay off.
Highly inappropriate, the set up is the worst, printing is very slow both in color and black, and every time I want to print something I have to do a ritual. The consumption is relatively fast. Unacceptable.

Unfortunately, the worst printer I have ever bought. I have had it for 1.5 years. It does not have ethernet and only connects through wifi. It takes a very long time to connect, often it doesn't even connect at all. I constantly have to restart and try to connect it. When I finally manage to print after 10 minutes of trying, it prints normally and the print quality is quite good. The next day, it's the same story all over again. Sometimes it doesn't print because it says the ink has run out, but the next day it shows that it still has ink. Overall, I'm tired of it and I will not buy HP again.
Good construction but compared to an older one I had, it printed much better than the one I have now. Another thing that makes it difficult for me to use is the color and black-and-white printing, as there is no button on the printer that you can press to make it simpler and easier for you. In this case, you will need to install the printer's application on your mobile or computer in order to set it up.

As for print quality, it is very good. It prints color pages, black and white, scans, etc. And double-sided printing. The HUGE issue is that it has connectivity problems. Meaning, it takes an hour to connect to WIFI, you send a print and it may start after 5 minutes or not at all. In the second case, you restart and send the file again, and it has happened to print it twice because of the previous failed attempt. I constantly set up the WIFI connection because it doesn't connect. The same thing happens with scanning. Overall, it requires a lot of patience. But when it decides to print, the print quality is very good.
First time I buy a printer and I couldn't print even a single page. I ask my son to set it up, he does it after an hour and I think, great, now we're okay. When I need it... guess what?... it doesn't work again!!! It needs to be set up again!!! I have to find my son again, hoping he's not busy, listen to his necessary complaints and go out for photocopies. I regret the moment I went and bought it.
He set it up three thousand times and lost his patience just as many times.
At least I went through the comments and found comfort seeing that many like me hated it and want to throw it away.

Unreliable like all HP printers with a cable, it never prints and constantly gives errors. With the app, you have more chances to print, although it constantly loses its settings, it either doesn't print or doesn't display the printer even though it exists in the app, and in the end, you can't print when you want to.
If you manage to print, it has good quality (the ink cartridges are half the price of other printers because they only do half the prints)

Useless
It constantly disconnects, keeps shutting down, and in order to turn it on, you have to unplug it from the socket and press the power button. It only remembers to turn on when it feels like it.
The ink service is unacceptable.
Connected and remains connected with a cable to the computer for 1.5 months. I tried with 5 different mobile devices to connect it with wifi. Impossible. I have connected it again and know the process. I have never seen such a thing before.
Really, buy it only if you want to give it as a gift to someone you hate, it prints whenever it wants, it generally works whenever it wants!!!
Mind-blower! 3 days later, after many hours of communication with customer service, it managed to connect. One couldn't find the wifi, one didn't accept the card for insta ink. It needed settings that if you're not a programmer, you'll never figure out. (Attention for future buyers, my card had a dot next to the first letter of the last name, a dot that I never use in transactions, but the HP system didn't accept the card because of it. After many attempts, when I also entered it, it went through) I give it 4 stars to see if it's worth it and I will come back in the future.
Cheap and nice... but... they eat up your money with ink. The genuine ones last for 50 prints... If you don't use genuine ones, it gets blocked... and you end up with an hp instant ink subscription, where each page costs you 0.10€ (10 cents), so 10 pages cost 1€... Oh, and the blank pages are also charged as it can't differentiate what it's printing...
Used the printer for a year and the last 2 months with instant ink...
I threw it in the trash, bought a Canon and relaxed.

I didn't buy the printer (hence the "unconfirmed purchase") but it was bought by an uncle who isn't a tech expert, he just wanted a printer to print out prescriptions for medicine and some images.
I had suggested the Epson EcoTank L3260 or Brother, but they were too expensive and that's why they weren't chosen.
The Pros:
- Very cheap initial purchase price.
- Very good print quality for images.
- Easy to change consumables and unblock paper jams.
The Cons:
- The WiFi is unstable, not reliable from either the mobile or the router.
- In multiple print jobs, it often loses prints from the WiFi queue.
- It's very large.
- Very slow printing. 10 pages/minute. It's not for large print volumes and if you're in a hurry.
- Service within warranty only in Athens & Thessaloniki. Anywhere else, the shipping cost is borne by the owner and it's a hassle.
The Prohibitive:
- Exorbitant ink cost. With approximately 45€ for the XL (25€ for black and 20€ for the three-color set), it theoretically produces a maximum of 200 pages, but in practice, it produces about 135 pages in normal quality. If you go for higher quality, it produces about 80 pages. The EPSON with the authentic ink set produces a theoretical maximum of 8000 black and 6500 color pages, but in practice, it produces about 5800 color pages at 22€ for the ink set. If you go for compatible inks, you need OVER 1,300€ to produce as many pages as with the EPSON for 22€.
- It doesn't work without an internet connection.
- It's frustrating to use compatible inks as it keeps reminding you that the ink is not compatible.
What requires exceptional attention!!!!
- When the printer is first purchased, it accepts compatible inks. But if it upgrades the firmware, it locks only to authentic inks without the possibility of using compatible inks or downgrading to use them again.
- During installation, you are given the option to subscribe to HP Instant Ink for free ink for 6 months, +1 year free warranty, and they plant a tree for you. If you choose HP+, the printer locks only to authentic inks with extra perks:
- - If it doesn't have an internet connection, the printer doesn't work. Also, no scanning.
- - If the HP Instant Ink subscription is canceled, the printer stops working even if it has ink inside or if you have authentic ink left over from before.
- - The ink "consumes" for no reason. The black always runs out faster. So if it runs out before you change it, the printer won't work. You change it, and after a day or two, it tells you that the color ink has also run out...meanwhile, before changing the black, it tells you that the color ink still has about 30 pages left...
To connect to wifi and the hp smart app, a star needs patience for a day and computer knowledge. I have 3 printers and a design plotter, and like the other hp product, this one also has great difficulty in network connection. The ink app is good, but it doesn't deliver what it promises and overall, I won't be getting HP again.
