The cooler from Enermax is active, which means it uses a fan to reduce the processor's temperature. With just 23dB of noise, this cooler makes minimal noise and won't distract you. It has a 200W TDP. To properly operate the cooler, its wattage performance should be at least equal to the processor's Thermal Design Power (TDP). This will also help with the noise generated by the cooler's fan, as it won't reach its limits. A cooler with a lower TDP than the processor's may be less effective, noisy, and could potentially reduce the lifespan and performance of your processor. It features ARGB LED lighting, which allows for much more customization in terms of lighting compared to regular RGB.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The cooler was installed on an old motherboard with socket 1366 and an i7 920 processor. With the stock cooler and moderate use, the temperature was always between 50 and 70 degrees. With this one, it ranges from 35 to a maximum of 55 degrees so far. So it does its job very well, but it is also bulkier than the stock one, so it's logical that it easily lowers the temperature. It comes with bases for all sockets, including the latest Intel 1700. It is definitely a value-for-money cooler.
Well done to Enermax - it had everything inside for all the connections!
Quiet and keeps the temperatures really low, on my latest generation AMD AM5 processor that I have!
