I got it as a gift for my sister, it does indeed have a very nice feel to the touch and does not affect the use of the phone at all. It adds volume to the phone as it applies on top of it like a protective "brace", but I recommend anyone who wants the case to also buy a screen protector/glass for the front of the phone as it will not protect at all in a fall with the front on rough terrain. Good construction material (plasticized PVC) and a fairly tight assembly.
