I have been reading it for years and it belongs to my favorite books, unreservedly and with enthusiasm. I stick to this specific edition which is well-crafted and carefully curated.

It was published in 1954 and it is the author's first book. Although at first the author struggled to find a publisher to release it, "Lord of the Flies" was destined to become one of the top 100 books in English literature. It has been translated into more than 30 languages, adapted into film twice, and is taught in schools!

"Lord of the Flies" is a very original, unique, harsh but realistic book that conveys many messages, the most important being how easily one can forget civilization, principles, and values when the need for survival arises. It is a book that I highly recommend to everyone!

Rating: 4/5 stars because while I really liked the story of this book and the messages it conveys, I was not impressed with the writing. The dialogues were sharp, unnatural, and repetitive, which personally did not satisfy me...

It goes without saying that the book is a classic and is recommended for everyone, of all ages and genders. It taps into the primal origins of humanity and explores the dark instincts that lie in wait to take control, abolishing and surpassing entire centuries of civilization in a minimal amount of time. Masterpiece!!!
