    The top does not open vertically, but slides back, and it is difficult to open. It does not help if the cat does not come out and you want to take it out from the top. Also, for an adult cat it is small for travel. The space inside is minimal. Over time, with 3-4 transports, one hook (plastic) of the door broke. I would not buy it again.
