Description

1821. The Ottoman Empire is shaken by the Greek Revolution, as the Greeks strive to throw off the Turkish yoke after four hundred years of slavery.
At the same time, in Constantinople, at the British Embassy, the philhellene doctor Benjamin Black has an important mission assigned to him by Lord Elgin from London: to discover the lost statue of a beautiful Aphrodite. This has become an obsession for the doctor, as she has long visited him in his dreams.
As the years pass, he will wander through the dark corridors of British espionage. When he discovers that he was a pawn in political intrigues, he will leave for Greece. During his investigation, he will travel to the Cyclades, Mani, Athens, Aegina, and Nafplio. Turkish General Kioutachis, Kolokotronis, Makrygiannis, Gouras, the Mavromichalaios, Ioannis Kapodistrias, and many others will cross the doctor's path. He will even get caught in the whirlwind of war and face mortal danger. At some point, his quest will near its end, and the Englishman will prepare to return to his homeland.
But he does not know that nothing is over. Because fate will set one last obstacle for him, the most powerful of all. Love will storm into his life, claiming its share of this quest with incredible force. Benjamin Black will unexpectedly meet a woman from his past. A fatal woman who will change his life... forever!
Against the backdrop of the Greek Revolution of 1821, an amazing adventure unfolds amidst the flame of the liberation struggle and the fire of love.
