  What a waste of money! As someone who shaves daily, I need three times more time than I would need to shave with a razor, and besides, in the difficult areas of the face it simply doesn't remove the hairs no matter how many times you pass it, so you still need a razor there to avoid looking like Karagiozis! COMPLETELY USELESS!

  Well, I've had it for 7 months (shaving every 3 days). I had the Philips Series 3, which was a real "beast" (reliable and capable), and I thought since it got stolen, I should get this one that also had the trimmer. DISAPPOINTMENT.
  1. It takes forever to shave off a beard that is more than four days old - you keep going over and over until your skin feels like it's burning because the head has "heated up".
  2. The trimmer is good for shortening the beard, but definitely not for sensitive areas... not even on the chest. You feel it scratching you... so you tilt it a bit and take whatever you can... risking it turning and scratching you.
  3. Battery: mediocre. With the way it shaves, as I mentioned before, where you have to keep going over and over, it lasts for 6 times. You need double or triple the time for a shave!!! No comparison to my previous Philips Series 3 with a fixed head that you pressed a bit but didn't fear it breaking like this one... with this one, you have to press it a bit since you've passed the same spot so many times.
  4. Of course, the storage space for the hair is minimal... you have to clean it every 2-3 times because you can tell it's clogged.
  5. The weight... you can't really call it lightweight... the same goes for its ergonomics... it's tiring! Especially with the looooong time it takes for a shave. I'm forced to use shaving cream at the same time to soften the hair and make it work... to be able to shave. I've been using razors for 20 years and I have an opinion... I rarely write reviews, but my disappointment is widespread, in conclusion, I do not recommend it... "good" purchases

  First time using a machine after years with a razor, so I won't go into comparison. My problem is that after 3-4 days, it requires several passes and a lot of persistence, especially on the neck, to catch all the hairs. Personally, it gave me a hard time.   We have and we say... the ultimate shaving machine is offered by the one blade as you can shave directly mustache and easily go up to one click before the razor but the replacement blades are very expensive and do not last for 4 months but with daily shaving, they last for a month and something little... the 5587/10 now is very good and does what it promises... comfortable and fast shaving on the whole face and neck... I shave daily with the 5587 and I take care of the corners with the one blade as no built-in trimmer will do a precise job there... this way I save money on replacement blades as I only want a razor every few months and I get the result I want... a regular razor only if I want to remember the old times...

  The battery lasts for 30 or more shaves, one every day. It needed charging after at least a month, maybe a few days more. It is one of the best batteries I have ever had. While it can shave with foam, dry shaving gives better results. It requires several passes for a good shave, but I had this with all Philips razors. It also has to do with the fact that the hair grows in different directions in each area, so for better results, multiple passes with different movements are needed, especially on the neck and chin. Of course, it doesn't mean that it takes a long time to shave. Shaving is done in 3-4 minutes. Certainly, the shave is not as close as with a blade, but I look presentable all day and I don't have the cuts and irritations I used to have when shaving with a razor. Even with a razor, if I didn't go against the grain, I didn't get a good result. It shaves comfortably even with 3-4 days' worth of beard growth, without pulling or difficulties. Of course, I don't have very coarse facial hair.

  I had a Braun 5 from the 90s with straight blades until now. I was going to buy another one, but I thought I'd give Philips a chance... Luckily I did, we're talking about day and night. With Braun, if you don't shave the next day or the day after, you're punished and I'm not even going to discuss having to take out the razor from the drawer after two or three days... With Philips, it's a piece of cake and I haven't even tried it for more than three days. Also, it doesn't bother me under the chin where the skin is thin. Finally, I like its cool operation, the neighbor can't hear you shaving... Now someone might say that after 10 years, Braun will be better... That's true too.

  My previous electric shaver was the Philips S5420/06, which was quite mediocre as it caused a lot of irritation and required multiple passes without a satisfactory result. I have been using this one for 8 days now without needing to recharge it. It has a sturdy construction, and the polygonal shape is clearly better than the round shape of the heads. Currently, with a few passes and without irritation, it leaves my skin smooth and flawless. Additionally, the attachment it has for precision trimming actually cuts, unlike my previous shaver which simply scraped the skin. Therefore, for now, I consider it a decent choice. I will come back with further feedback.
