What can I say about this masterpiece? It's 740 grams, which doesn't bother me at all because it's not an On The Go speaker, you can either place it somewhere or hang it and enjoy! It's very powerful, even at 100% I didn't notice any distortion in the sound, the bass is satisfactory (it's not JBL but it's decent). If you press the + and ⏯ buttons simultaneously, the Deep Bass is activated, but you will see a small difference. Also, if you press the Power Button once while the speaker is on, it announces the battery percentage (in English). Holding down the - or + button goes to the previous or next song respectively. If you have the speaker on without using it, it automatically turns off in 10 minutes. Once the battery reaches 20%, it announces "Battery Low". Full charging with a 15W charger takes 4 hours. The playback time reached 640 minutes with the volume strictly at 50% throughout the test!!! One last thing I liked is the braiding of the cord because it shows that they paid attention to detail and didn't just tie a string to hang it. At the 31€ I got it, you can't get more Value For Money! Dimensions: 21 x 7.5 x 7. The box also includes a 65cm Type-C cable. 2-year warranty.
Any comparison with the JBL Flip 4, which is also 16W, is:
1. Probably unfair due to the price difference, as the Xiaomi costs 1/3 of the Flip 4, but also
2. Completely laughable, as the difference in sound quality is simply chaotic.
I've gotten used to the rave reviews of Xiaomi products, probably because they always have a more affordable price(?), but I admit that I made a mistake buying it, as the purchase cost was compared to the cost of replacing the battery of the Flip 4 that betrayed me after 4 years of daily use.
As for the loud voice notifications that cannot be turned off and the fact that you have to turn it off to charge it (!!!), it is probably a typical example of the haste of the products of this company but also of the low selling price.
In short, don't expect to buy a JBL for 30 euros. As usual with this brand, you are attracted by the low price but the product does not meet the expectations created by its specifications. In essence, you give a small amount of money, but you don't get what you ultimately want. So essentially you're just wasting your money. Personally, I'll keep it for the kids to play with, and I'll get a JBL.
After several months, I can give a proper review for the speaker we have as follows:
For the money, the speaker is excellent; you won't find anything similar with such bass and volume.
As for the build quality, I won't even discuss it—it's perfect; it has taken falls and is like new.
It is also waterproof, which for me is a big plus (++) because you can take it with you and not worry about it getting damaged.
Now, regarding sound quality, as a predecessor to the JBL Flip 4, the differences I noticed are that in the Mi, the sound is deeper, while the JBL is more vibrant. Also, the JBL has slightly better bass.

Quite a powerful speaker! It lasts several hours, but less than what is stated. But its bass is excessively strong..

Simply top quality in terms of sound and bass for the price! The only downside is that it doesn't charge while in use.
Packaging that is similar to a mobile phone. It contains a manual and a USB cable for charging. Very easy connection. Very good and clear sound even at maximum volume. Sturdy and relatively heavy construction for its size. Always in relation to the money it was purchased for, it is a fair speaker that does its job and then some. Honestly, I was satisfied with the value for money.
Coming from a JBL Charge 3, and comparing it to this, I have to say that it is an excellent speaker, always considering its price. When I had the JBL, a friend had the Mi and the sound was much clearer on it. The JBL only had more volume. I also bought a second Mi and when they are connected together, you literally have a party!! Excellent build quality and good battery life. The only thing it lacks is its weight. It is quite heavy.
It is a very good choice for the price of 30 euros.
In size, it is larger than a Jbl flip 5, it is literally like a brick.
I will compare it relative to the jbl as I have used one (Flip5).
The sound quality is good. It handles the high frequencies quite well but lacks in bass. The jbl has better bass. In terms of volume, it is satisfactory but it is slightly quieter than the jbl. At maximum volume, it gets loud but only slightly. It is not bothersome.
The battery is fine, it can play continuously from morning to night at low volume.
As for connectivity, it cannot be connected simultaneously to 2 or more devices. Only one device can be connected. With the jbl, one can connect both their computer and their phone simultaneously. It does not allow for multitasking, so to speak.
It is worth it for what it is, though.
If you have the money, it is better to choose something better (and obviously more expensive).
It is a great device for its price. The 4 stars because the battery does not last me 13 hours as stated.

Small, lightweight, and with powerful bass!
I bought it as a second speaker since my JBL doesn't have an Aux In connection, and I'm amazed by how clear the sound and powerful the bass is for 16w.

I was very impressed! I have had it for almost 3 years and it works perfectly in everything like the first time.
Connected immediately. Heavy sturdy construction and quality. Clear sound and strong bass. I don't know about the waterproofing and I won't attempt to test it..... Very VFM
The sound is excellent, whether at home or in an outdoor open space where I have brought it, I was very satisfied. The voice guidance it has is a bit annoying, as well as the repeated reminders that the battery is low as soon as it reaches 20%. Overall, the battery life is satisfactory, but it will definitely need to be charged at night. A big plus is that it is waterproof, so you can take it with you on outings without any worries.
Simply one day after 2.5 years of mild use it stopped charging and that was it. I am not satisfied. Also when I turned to the official service they told me to go back to where I bought it and that they cover products sold by them as importers (I had bought it from Greece)
The battery lasts for 3 hours max. The bass is very strong at the end of the music. When the battery is low, it has a voice every 1-2 minutes saying low battery without being able to adjust or change it.
Excellent for its price. The only negative thing I have to say after 1 year of use is that when I listen to podcasts, the bass "muffles" the voice and it doesn't sound very clear. Maybe with some adjustments this can be improved but it's not such a big issue so I haven't looked into it.
While its sound quality is very good for the use I make of it, the battery life is so short that I end up having it permanently plugged in! It is not suitable for trips and beaches unless you have an equally large power bank
It's decent for what you pay. It was left in the sun inside the car during the summer and stopped working due to overheating. But now it works perfectly fine.
I got it as a Christmas gift. After a week of use, I can say that the sound is relatively clear and loud. The battery lasts less than advertised.
The quality of the sound it produces, for its price, is very good. Unfortunately, the battery, at full volume, only lasts for an hour and a half. I bought it for my work, hoping it would last 4-5 hours... If you want it to play quality sound for an hour, go for it... Otherwise, look for something else.
In its price range (40€), you won't find anything better
I expected it to be smaller as I saw it in the photos, but even so, it is still good. Compared to a smaller and cheaper one I had, it's like day and night!!! Compared to JBL, which I have heard, it has lower volume, but if you think that you buy it three times cheaper, you surpass it. Overall, it has a very nice sound, clear and with a great bass!!! Finally, for a purchase of 26€, it is more than value for money!!

Very nice speaker but when I connected it to my iPhone the sound was low, while when I connected it to the redmi note the sound increased. However, it is a very elegant and nice speaker.
Excellent solution for someone who is tired of paying gold for the well-known brand of speakers. Very nice bass and clear/strong sound. It is perfect for everyday use.
It has good sound and quality construction, but when the battery drops below 20%, it has an audio notification every 2 minutes that the battery is low, and you can't listen to music with this function.
Update. After a few months of light use, the battery lasts for 2 hours.

A speaker with excellent build quality and a passive speaker on the back!
It's really impressive how you can buy it for just 30 euros!
Its connection is exemplary.
Its battery is satisfactory, 2,600mAh. (it has an automatic power-off system after 15' of low signal to save energy - useful)
Beautiful (the blue one) with a carrying strap.
Quite heavy, but worth it.
Negatives:
Its battery accepts charging up to 10w, resulting in it taking 4 hours for a full charge.
(when fully charged, the indicator light turns off - useful).
Now, about the SOUND;
The sound is a bit compressed in the mid and high frequencies, although I believe you won't miss anything from either.
I think it's a choice of the manufacturer for the speaker to sound fuller in the lower frequencies.
And it does a wonderful job! The overall sound can captivate you.
Beyond that, it is sensitive to positioning.
Pay attention to where it is placed and where the speakers and the back passive speaker are facing.
I personally enjoy having it on the bed or on a pillow.
With this placement, I never use the Deep Bass (it is available as an option by simultaneously pressing two buttons).
Although I now have many small portable speakers, (I bought this for my son's party) I always carry it first everywhere.
Former owner of JBL Charge 4 (wasn't crazy about it for 135 euros), it has very good stereo sound, something that JBL wasn't known for. Quick connection with mobile and PC, very good construction. Worth every euro, great value for money
The only thing I would characterize as negative is that I cannot change the song from the pause button
I have it for over a year+ and it is perfect for everyday use at home, the beach, the balcony, etc...
Apart from the color, its price is value for money and it has nothing to envy from the more expensive options in its category (I'm okay with the bass and treble it offers).
- Classic Xiaomi with nice design, good construction, and functionality.
- It connects almost instantly with Bluetooth, easy buttons and on/off.
- It can be connected with USB to charge and play at the same time. I recommend it!
