All my drives are Western Digital. First time I face an issue with data transfer. I wanted to backup my Western Digital book and some files are not recognized immediately, and I have to transfer them one by one because it gives me some errors during transfer. To check if it's the computer's fault, I did transfers between my book and the WD Passport and did not encounter such an issue. It works a bit strangely compared to the usual hard drives I had so far. I also have a SeaGate and have no problem. I have all the drives in exFAT format to be compatible with Mac, Android, and Windows devices. This one was already formatted in exFAT so I didn't do anything, but I don't know if I should have formatted it myself to work like the other drives. The 4TB took me about five days to transfer. As for what they say about Western Digital drives, I have a drive from 2006 and it still works.

Replacement was made and again it takes about ten minutes for the drive to appear.

The only downside of this disk is that it is slightly larger compared to similar portable ones and may not fit in the carrying case you already have. Overall, in terms of speed, it is exactly what you expect from a USB 3.2 disk, the cable seems to be well-made and unlikely to easily wear out, and there is almost no noise (although you can feel some vibration when it is working at full capacity). Overall, for its price at 4TB, it is value for money.
