The famous adventurer Adol "the Red" Christin and his companion Dogi arrive in Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire, only for Adol to be arrested before he sets foot inside. While imprisoned, he encounters a mysterious woman named Aprilis who transforms him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural gifts and the power to exorcise monsters. Now, Adol must ally with his fellow Monstrums to confront the terrifying threats arising from a shadowy dimension called Grimwald Nox, as well as uncover the mysteries of the Monstrum's curse and the truth behind the turmoil in Balduq.

Very good continuation of our beloved hero Adol Christine who is trying to take the gameplay one step further, introducing more exploration options by utilizing the ability to teleport from one point to another. It is clear that the creators wanted to experiment with elements from games like Castlevania, both in gameplay and aesthetics and music. I would say that the effort is successful, but the battles in the city do not give the feeling that a YS fan expects, as the battles are too typical and in waves, something like trials that need to be repeated many times. However, when the game takes you to areas outside the city, the full glory of the franchise unfolds and you can enjoy exploration and battle. There is a lot of exploration to be done in the city, with dozens of icons waiting to be discovered, something that reminds me of the large maps of Assassin's Creed, which is positive for me because it gives duration and interest to the game. The music in the city did not impress me, and that is because there was a limitation in terms of the character of the melodies that a gothic environment can offer, but in the sections outside the city, the music reaches many levels and reaches the level of YS 8, which for me was outstanding. Overall, a game that should not be missed for fans of the series, but also a very good introductory chapter for newcomers to the famous adventurer Adol. Is it worth the full price? Definitely yes, because it offers a lot of content and many hours of enjoyable entertainment. A wonderful exploration and discovery system of an interesting world.
