Complete food with chicken, turkey, wild-caught fish, and quail. Suitable for juvenile & adult small breed dogs.

Ingredients Benefits

With specially designed small kibble, specifically designed for small breed dogs.

With 85% animal ingredients and over 50% of them being fresh or raw, this food is specially designed to provide your small dog with the increased energy it needs while maintaining its body weight at an ideal level.

Its special formula offers support to the immune and muscular system as well as the bones, exactly what a small and energetic dog needs at all stages of its life.

Its content of fresh cage-free eggs, which are rich in lutein, protects its eyes, while the valuable Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids give the dog healthy skin and a shiny coat.

Chicken is a lean meat that provides your dog with the necessary protein its body needs. Additionally, it strengthens its muscular system and is a rich source of Omega-6 fatty acids, which ensure healthy skin and a shiny coat. Finally, the presence of amino acids and glucosamine builds healthy joints.

Turkey is a lean white meat that helps our little friend build healthy muscle tissue. Additionally, it is a particularly digestible source of animal protein that can be used for dogs with food sensitivities and allergies.

Quail is rich in vitamins such as B3, B6, and B2, in minerals such as iron, phosphorus, copper, and selenium, while having a lower content of saturated fat and cholesterol.

Unfortunately, it did not sit well with us in a 2.5 kg Maltese, even though she likes it very much and eats it with appetite and gives her energy, the problems ranged from nausea to diarrhea. I will try to give her the rest in small quantities which did not bother her (as long as she ate it with her other food)

We have a 7.5-month-old Jack Russell and we have struggled immensely to find a dry food that he likes. We have tried many super premium dry foods and ended up giving them to friends because he gets bored of them after the second or third time, and some he doesn't even touch (he just smells them and walks away). We have also tried homemade food (chicken with rice and vegetables) and he gets bored of that too, not to mention his stools become quite soft.

Finally, we decided to try this specific food because we have read about the high quality of Orijen products and also because the small kibble size is convenient for him to chew and he eats less because he is lazy when it comes to food.

I can say that as soon as you open the package, you can tell that you are holding a truly excellent quality food as it smells amazing compared to other dry foods. Even the Acana, which we tried once because the Orijen was out of stock, doesn't come close in terms of smell.

I should mention that he did eat the Acana, but not with as much enthusiasm as the Orijen.

He absolutely loves this food. We have now ordered the third package and are eagerly awaiting it.

For those of you who order it, you will remember me as soon as you open it, and every time you open the package, in terms of the smell. Your dog will love it just as much as ours does.

As for the overall quality of the food, apart from the perfect smell (always compared to other dry foods), if you read the ingredients, you will realize that you couldn't give your dog anything more high-quality in terms of food.

I can't say that his coat has made a noticeable difference because we brush him 1-2 times daily and it always shines, except for the fact that Jack Russells shed like crazy.

His mood and energy are very good and his stools are firm and don't smell much.

I recommend this food because so far we have very good impressions.

He is now 12 months old and still eats the same food with the same appetite. He has become a "bundle of energy" as they say about his leg muscles.

    UPDATE!!!!!!!!

We did blood tests on the little one and found that his liver enzymes were quite elevated.

Our vet told us that it may be due to the high protein in his food (39%).

So we did a month of treatment with pills and vitamins, changed his food to Barking Heads with 24% protein, and the levels returned to normal in the next tests.

Further research I did made me assume that very high protein is not suitable for small-bodied dogs with moderate to high activity.

I'm just mentioning it. It doesn't mean that this specific food will harm the liver... maybe it just happened in our dog's system
