Against the backdrop of the multicultural mosaic of Thrace, a place of peculiar gods and brave humans, the fascinating world of the margins meets the learned knights of the West and initiated guardians of secret orders bound by oaths of silence.

In this epic world, Life, a noblewoman from Mosynoupoli, Thrace, persistently seeks her identity. Saints and demons, precious companions, such as Varrangos Borg, the bogyaros Petar, the innkeeper Xenia, the omen-reader Kremasia, the monks of Papikio Mountains, as well as the legendary figures of the Purple-born of the City, Godfrey Vilearduin, Tsar Kaloyan of the Asen dynasty, and many other small or great heroes of the 13th century, will accompany her on her journey to the castles of Thrace.
