Having PC peripherals (mice, mousepads, custom keyboards, etc.) as a hobby and having tried several pads from many companies, I can confidently say that this one feels like gliding on butter. It provides the best glide I have seen on a mouse. It is for those who have extremely accurate movements in their games and simply want extra speed. For enthusiasts, try it in combination with PTFE, ceramic, or glass feet on your mouse. Just blow on the mouse and it goes for a ride. I do not recommend it for new players as it requires speed and precision movements that come with time.
