Their normal use is as monitor headphones. At first, they disappointed me acoustically. They were not "pleasant" headphones. Because as we said, they were monitor headphones for music analysis. That is, they are overly analytical, but this is bad if you want pleasant listening. However, fortunately, they "take" from EQing and with the right EQing they really transform into perfectly "pleasant-sounding" headphones. I listen to melodic heavy metal, for example, but also rock, and with the EQing I did, they sound amazing! Pieces to try are Cranberries Ridiculus Thoughts, U2 With or without you, Batiouska Yektenia 3 cover Lycanthrope, Jinjer - Piesces, Jinjer Mediator, Metallica One, Metallica No Lead Clover. They have full sound, good bass, and analytical with extension but also restrained. But they are not like other headphones that to give you deep bass destroy the voices and muddy the rest of the sound. With the right EQing, they surpass headphones of 1000 euros. I will show in the picture how to set them up, but I would also recommend buying a headphone amplifier because they need amplification. So get the G6 from Creative Labs (around 130 euros). It also has an EQing program to set them up correctly.

First experience and I will make 2-3 edits because it is a headphone that is praised on international websites but has no reviews in our country. My first impression is that they do what they are made for. Critical listening and studio monitoring. Let me explain exactly what I mean. Those who think that you cannot do monitoring with headphones or in general if you don't have the special and expensive monitor, well, sit tight. Obviously, they don't take into account the factor of someone with a low budget who wants to do the job. I have produced albums even without a monitor, simply by using my hi-fi amplifier in direct mode. I have produced decent albums with 100 euro monitors and headphones that are not specialized in monitoring. The difference is that if you have unsuitable equipment, you will struggle a lot to find the frequencies you want. Given that even the most expensive monitor needs to be "learned," the basic equipment for mixing is your ear. If you don't have a clue, no matter what monitor or headphones you have, you will make a bad mix. However, when you have a flat audio playback device, it will help you finish the job quickly and effortlessly. This is what this particular model does. I chose it based on reviews on foreign sites and studying the frequency response, knowing what I want or rather what I don't want to hear when I sit down on a night when I can't turn on the speakers. Its sound seems to be completely flat, it's not hi-fi, it's not for a listener who wants to enjoy bass, etc., but I think it reproduces what was actually recorded. I will come back when I torture them more. Also worth noting are the following: Top quality (because it's Shure), heavy headphones, I don't know if they will be comfortable for a long time, they cover the entire ear, at least mine, the cable is up to 3 meters coiled, which I don't like, they fold and shrink a lot and fit into a very nice pouch, they have spare pads, so you save about 20 euros in a few years when they need replacement. Finally, even though they are only 44 ohms, they don't play loudly, at least on the phone, so another reason to use them only with professional equipment, headphone amplifier or a very good sound card.

Awesome product at an awesome price. Many people say to get the m50 headphones initially, but I believe these are better. Although they don't need an amplifier, I have seen improvement in the sound, especially in the lows and very little in the highs. They come with a small carrying pouch, a long coiled cable, a 6.3mm adapter, and a second set of pads. They also fold for transportation. The pads can be replaced with others from Shure, which are more comfortable but change the sound.

Of course, I rated it with 4 stars for the following reasons.
The cable, while being coiled and long for connection to the headphones, does not have the classic 3.5mm size. When it broke, I had to buy another one from Shure.
They are a bit heavy, okay, many good headphones are heavy, but in these, all the weight accumulates in one spot. As a result, if you don't put them on perfectly, they will tire you and slip, but overall they are comfortable if you wear them properly. Also, what's up with the small protruding cables? Others do it too, and I want to tell all of you, Stop.
Great representation in Greece in terms of support for anything Shure I had and have. From me, at this price around 120-130, it's a yes.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. They have really good sound but they require attention - there is an external cable - so only for studio use. Good build quality. I think it's the best at this price.
