I use it for the iPad Air 5th gen. It has a hard plastic that protects the edges while the cutouts are properly placed. The front cover of the screen is quite good and helps to set up the tablet in different ways. I don't have an Apple Pencil to see if the gap they left on the side is correct, although it is likely to be correct
